The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Borga scores with a hook to the body. Janis takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Janis sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Borga tries to land a front kick but Janis steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Pyyno Janis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Janis on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Borga throws a push kick but Janis slaps the foot to one side.

Borga throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Janis stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
