PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nathan Harper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jan Jansen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Harper might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Sex on fire. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jan Jansen!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, James Glass and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

It looks like Nathan Harper has been cut.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

A close round but Jan Jansen will probably get the nod.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Jansen throws a right and a left that Harper avoids nicely.

and Harper decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Jansen's guard.

Harper's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Harper cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Harper has control of Jansen's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Jansen regains control of the situation pretty easily.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

I would just about give that final round to Jan Jansen.
I think Jansen has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
