Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Tyrone Davids (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ty Lenol (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Davids's entrance music is Wu-Tang Clan - Bring Da Ruckus. A fine choice. Tyrone Davids has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Tyrone Davids! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ty Lenol! The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Skip Squint and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Davids shoots for a double leg takedown but Lenol sprawls well. He's pushed Davids's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Davids scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Lenol fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Lenol changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Davids tries to avoid it but Lenol manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Davids to the ground. Davids escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Lenol fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Davids manages to avoid it. No luck with that takedown attempt from Lenol. Tyrone Davids has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ty Lenol. Lenol has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Davids. Lenol showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Davids.
Davids scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Davids throws a low kick, looking for Lenol's leg but Lenol calmly moves out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Davids tests Lenol's chin there with a solid looking shot. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Lenol. Lenol is looking to clinch but Davids is avoiding it.

Lenol on the wrong end of a nice jab. Davids lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Lenol is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Lenol leaves Davids with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lenol is trying hard to land a takedown here. Davids sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Davids misses with a few strikes there.

Lenol is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Lenol moves forwards but Davids connects with a nice, crisp jab. Davids throws a series of punches but Lenol moves out of range. Davids lands with a cross. Lenol misses with a takedown and Davids counters with a lovely straight right hand!
That's three minutes gone in the round. A jab from Davids finds it's way through Lenol's defenses. Lenol closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Davids did well to prevent Lenol getting side control. Lenol scoring with strikes to the body and head. Davids wants to sweep but Lenol has passed to side control! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lenol misses with the ground and pound. Davids looking for a sweep but Lenol has passed into full mount! Oh no! Lenol avoids the attempt from Davids to control. Lenol controlling the pace for now.

Davids sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Lenol thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Lenol prevents Davids from improving his position. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Davids wants to control but Lenol is keeping busy and won't allow it. Davids wants to improve his position but Lenol is controlling well.

That was a close round but I would say that Tyrone Davids will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Lenol misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Lenol missing with a left hand there. Davids was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Lenol keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Davids takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Davids misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Lenol looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Davids is fending him off so far but Lenol persists. Nope, Davids circles away and we're back to standing. Davids lands a nice shot that snaps Lenol's head back.

Lenol has picked Davids up - he's going for a ride! Lenol dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Lenol is trying to control. Davids wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Davids is looking to improve his position.
Lenol seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Davids does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Davids works his way to full guard. Good work. Davids lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Lenol!

The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Lenol wants to control but Davids is having none of it. Lenol is trying desperately to improve position. Lenol tries to lock up and control but Davids gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Lenol is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Davids throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Lenol because Davids loaded up on that one. Lenol is wriggling around trying to escape.
A nice elbow there by Davids. Lenol is looking to improve his position but Davids isn't that keen on the idea. Davids trying to control but he's not successful this time. Lenol is in a horrible position here. Davids smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Davids unloads with some shots from mount but Lenol bucks and avoids them well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Davids looking to secure an arm triangle but Lenol defends it well. Davids lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Lenol is looking to improve his position but Davids isn't that keen on the idea. Lenol tries to hold on but Davids pushes him away. Davids tries to control but Lenol wriggling away. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Davids has hold of Lenol's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Lenol manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Davids motions for Lenol to come forward. Davids throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Davids tries for a takedown but Lenol sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Ty Lenol is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Davids pushes Lenol away with a front kick. Lenol has a takedown stuffed. Lenol thows a body shot but no joy. Lenol shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Davids as he jumps to the side. Davids scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.

and Lenol counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Davids throws a hook but Lenol avoids it easily. Davids scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Davids keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Lenol moves out of range of the strikes. Lenol closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Lenol takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Lenol looks up at the clock and then as Davids takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Lenol smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lenol throwing shots but missing, from side control. Ty Lenol has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Lenol wants to control but Davids is keeping him busy. Davids manages to work his way to half guard, despite Lenol's best efforts.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Davids is trying to control but can't.
Davids regains full guard. Nicely done. Davids looking for a sweep. Not yet Davids, not yet. Lenol thows a big elbow that misses. Davids is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Lenol wants to get up but he can't break Davids's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Lenol trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Davids preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lenol throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Davids works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Lenol won't allow Davids to sweep him here. Davids has his foot on Lenol's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Lenol works his way back into a safe position though. Davids wants to sweep here but Lenol controlling him for the moment. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Davids is trying to control the position from the bottom.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Tyrone Davids. Well Davids has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win...
