Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jesse Leis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luis Alvarez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alvarez has chosen immortal sin as his entrance music. Luis Alvarez is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jesse Leis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Luis Alvarez! The judges for this bout are , and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A slow jab from Leis misses its intended target. Leis misses with a hook to the body
and Alvarez counters with a right hand to the body. Leis blocks a head kick by Alvarez.
Leis shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Alvarez holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Leis tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Leis sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Leis can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Alvarez is looking to escape. Leis thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Leis scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Alvarez wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Leis.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Leis cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Leis sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Leis goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Alvarez turns into him and now he's in Leis's guard.
Leis is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Leis wants to control but Alvarez is keeping him busy. Leis has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. This has been an exciting period of action! Leis thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Alvarez's head. Leis looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Leis prevents Alvarez from standing back up.
Leis thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Leis seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Alvarez keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Leis lands strikes from half guard. Leis wants to pass to mount but Alvarez is defending the position. Leis sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Alvarez defending well though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Alvarez is staying active underneath Leis, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Alvarez blocking the ground and pound attempt from Leis. Leis sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Alvarez defending well though. Leis is looking to take a break and control but Alvarez is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Leis tries to pass to full mount but Alvarez defends it. Leis throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Leis throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jesse Leis dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Leis shoots in for a takedown but Alvarez shows good takedown defense. Alvarez throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Alvarez throws an overhand right that lands on Leis's shoulder, as Leis tries to avoid the shot. Leis fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Alvarez manages to avoid it. Alvarez stuffs the takedown. Leis with a poor takedown and Alvarez counters with a head kick that drops Leis to the mat! Leis scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly! That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jesse Leis. That's going to take a lot out of him. Alvarez stuffs the takedown. Leis shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Alvarez pinned against the cage. Alvarez gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Leis shoots in looking for a takedown but Alvarez manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Leis's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Leis gets hit by the mother of all head kicks and drops to the canvas in a crumpled heap! Woooow, the Internet is going to be talking about this one for weeks!
