Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Disco Dance! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rockson Rua! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Robert Twigg and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dance misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Dance shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Rua as he avoids it easily. Rua misses with a wild combination.
Dance takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
A lazy left from Rua finds it's target. Rua smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Dance looks for a takedown but Rua sprawls well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Disco Dance. That's going to take a lot out of him. Dance shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. A nice inside leg kick there by Rua. That's going to slow Dance down. Dance keeps the fight on the outside. A head kick from Rua lands but Dance takes it in his stride.
It looks like Disco Dance has been cut. Disco Dance seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. This has been an exciting period of action! Dance throws a shot from downtown. Rua moves away and avoids it. Rua stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Rua wants it to stay on the feet. Dance is breathing heavily. Rua tests Dance's chin there with a solid looking shot. Dance shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Rua pinned against the cage. Rua gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Dance with a poor takedown and Rua counters with a head kick that drops Dance to the mat! Dance scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!
Dance is rocked! Rua connects with a body shot. Oh Dance is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Rua throws an overhand right that drops Dance like a sack of potatoes! Rua dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:02 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rockson Rua!
