PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Van Damme (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Bravo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Damme comes into the arena with Fight to Survive blaring out of the sound system. Bravo comes into a darkened arena with his song building. I'm too Sexy by Right Said Fred kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Damme tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Damme tries to close the distance and clinch but Bravo swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Bravo shoots in for a takedown but Damme shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Damme connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
A right-left combo lands from Damme.
Bravo swinging wildly here.
Bravo is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Damme is looking to clinch but Bravo is avoiding it.
Damme keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Damme lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Bravo shoots in and drives through. Damme sprawls well.
Van Damme has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Johnny Bravo.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Bravo uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Damme.
Bravo shoots for a double leg takedown but Damme sprawls well. He's pushed Bravo's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Damme connects with an inside leg kick.
Damme tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
That kick from Damme tenderised Bravo's leg. Bravo is trying to keep his angry face on.
A looping hook to the body misses from Bravo. Damme does a little dance to reset his feet.
Bravo shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Damme defends it nicely.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Bravo looks gassed!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Damme shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Bravo eats them both and turns towards Damme to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Damme feints and then cracks Bravo's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Bravo down.
Bravo takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Damme keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Damme moves into the clinch successfully.
Bravo is trying to stall.
Bravo lands with a left to the head.
A nice left hand lands by Damme.
Good body shot from Damme.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Bravo is persisting with his attempts to control the action in the clinch, rather than do any real damage.
Damme lands with a left to the head.

Bravo is rocked!
Damme pushes Bravo back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Bravo is still on wobbly legs! Can Damme finish him?
Damme lands with a light punch inside.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Damme creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Bravo with a big uppercut! Bravo tries to clinch up but Damme pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Bravo to the mat! Bravo covers up and Damme unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
