Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Ryan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Barton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Barton has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Mike Ryan could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Jack Barton's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mike Ryan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jack Barton! The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Russell Pearce and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ryan looks to clinch and Barton counters with a straight right hand. Barton lands a nice hook to Ryan's body. Ryan takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Ryan takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Barton connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Ryan misses with a takedown and Barton counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ryan moves to clinch but Barton breaks away enabling Barton to counter with a crisp jab. Ryan tries to clinch but Barton moves away and Barton counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Ryan shoots and misses letting Barton counter with a right hand. Ryan tries to clinch but fails miserably and Barton cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Barton digs a good body shot into Ryan's ribs. Ryan misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Barton counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Ryan wants to clinch and Barton counters with a lovely shot to the body.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Ryan. Ryan takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Barton has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Ryan swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Barton cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Barton uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Ryan. Ryan closes the distance looking to clinch and Barton cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ryan moves out of range of the strikes. Barton scores with a body shot.
Ryan staying out of range there. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jack Barton dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Ryan wants to clinch and Barton counters with a straight right hand. Ryan with a poor takedown and Barton makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Ryan looks to clinch and Barton counters with a left to the body. Ryan gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Barton counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Barton circles away from the clinch attempt and Barton counters with a nice uppercut. Ryan wants to clinch but Barton slips to the side and Barton counters with a stiff right hand.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Ryan looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mike Ryan. That's going to take a lot out of him. Ryan tries to grapple but his opponent circles letting Barton counter with a right hand.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ryan wants to clinch and Barton counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Barton digs a good hook to Ryan's body.
Ryan wants to clinch but Barton slips to the side and Ryan takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Ryan throws a body kick the misses enabling Barton to counter with a crisp jab.

A close second round but Jack Barton will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's time! Ryan's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Mike Ryan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ryan with a poor takedown and Barton counters with a straight right hand. Barton with a body punch. A glancing blow. Ryan takes one to the chin there. Ryan doesn't succeed with the takedown and Barton counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Jack Barton seems to be getting the better of the standup.
That's one minute gone in the round. Barton slips under a jab. Ryan looks for a takedown but Barton sprawls well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mike Ryan. That's going to take a lot out of him. Barton bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Mike Ryan has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Barton scores with a punch to the head. A telegraphed right hand from Ryan misses the target. Ryan looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. Ryan tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Barton counters with a right hand to the body.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ryan closes the distance but Barton moves to the side and Barton counters with a right hand to the body. Ryan misses with a takedown attempt and Barton counters with a stiff right hand.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Barton moves out of range as Ryan strikes. Barton lands with an uppercut that bounces Ryan off the cage and back into rage. Jack Barton is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Ryan tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Barton counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
And that's the end of the fight! Jack Barton comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Barton has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
