Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Curtis Milicz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Grigoriy Slipchenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Milicz might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Fort Minor - Remember the Name. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Curtis Milicz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Grigoriy Slipchenko! The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Saam Ante and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Slipchenko misses with a takedown attempt and Milicz counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Milicz. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Milicz throwing strikes but missing. Slipchenko is looking to stand up but Milicz isn't so interested in that idea. Milicz missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Slipchenko preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Slipchenko keeping full guard, as Milicz tries to pass. Milicz trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Slipchenko keeping moving, preventing Milicz from controlling successfully. Milicz stops Slipchenko from standing up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Milicz wants to control from the top but Slipchenko keeps moving. Milicz postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Slipchenko is looking to stand up but Milicz isn't so interested in that idea. Milicz throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Milicz trying to control but Slipchenko is working from the bottom. Milicz stops Slipchenko from standing up. Milicz throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Slipchenko works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Milicz working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Slipchenko wants to stand and escape but Milicz is having none of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Milicz lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Slipchenko wants to stand and escape but Milicz is having none of it. Milicz trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Milicz throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Slipchenko works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Slipchenko working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Milicz. Milicz with a flurry of punches that miss. Milicz thows a big elbow that misses. Milicz trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Milicz is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Slipchenko is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Slipchenko has escaped and now he's on top! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Slipchenko pushes down on Milicz's leg and manages to get into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Slipchenko wants to work for an arm triangle but Milicz is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Slipchenko has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Milicz is working to get back to half guard.
Milicz sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Milicz is looking to improve his position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Slipchenko takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Slipchenko wants to control but Milicz is keeping him busy. Slipchenko prevents Milicz from improving his position. Slipchenko controlling the action here. Slipchenko stands up from half guard. Slipchenko shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Milicz but Milicz pushes him off and we're back to square one. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Curtis Milicz dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Slipchenko looks for a takedown but Milicz sprawls well. Milicz shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Milicz showed some decent athleticism there. Milicz missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Milicz connects with a nice short shot to Slipchenko's temple. Slipchenko on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Milicz seems to be looking for submissions.
Milicz is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Slipchenko sees it coming and defends easily. Milicz is looking for a kimura but Slipchenko is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Milicz to get the leverage. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Milicz lands with a punch from half guard. Milicz misses with a head shot. Slipchenko uses the momentum to regain guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Slipchenko wants to stand and escape but Milicz is having none of it. Curtis Milicz overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Slipchenko wriggles free and stands up. Slipchenko fails with the takedown and Milicz counters with a nice double leg into side control. Slipchenko won't be happy with that. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Milicz in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Slipchenko defending against the ground and pound. Slipchenko wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Slipchenko prevents Milicz from improving position. Slipchenko managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Milicz.
Milicz tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Milicz looks up at the clock and then as Slipchenko takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Milicz smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Slipchenko is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Milicz works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Slipchenko takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Slipchenko pushes Milicz away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Milicz gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Milicz working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Slipchenko avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Milicz. Milicz throwing shots but missing, from side control. Slipchenko is trying to get back to his feet. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Milicz working the strikes but Slipchenko uses the opportunity to regain half guard. Slipchenko is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Milicz scores with a couple of nice shots. Milicz throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Curtis Milicz dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Milicz closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Slipchenko's guard. Slipchenko wants to stand and escape but Milicz is having none of it. Slipchenko keeping moving, preventing Milicz from controlling successfully. Slipchenko scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Slipchenko fails to land the takedown. Slipchenko takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Slipchenko with a lazy takedown attempt and Milicz counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Slipchenko's guard now. Milicz postures up in Slipchenko's guard and throws a big left but Slipchenko blocks it. Slipchenko avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Milicz keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Slipchenko's head. Milicz has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Milicz trying to control the position from guard on top but Slipchenko is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Milicz throws a big right hand that misses. Milicz scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Milicz with a nice head shot there. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Milicz postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Milicz fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Slipchenko to the ground. Milicz is now in Slipchenko's guard. Slipchenko utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Milicz postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Milicz accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Milicz loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Milicz with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Milicz trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Milicz scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Milicz is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Slipchenko is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Slipchenko working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Milicz. Milicz throws a big right hand that misses. Milicz tries to free his leg and advance position but Slipchenko is retaining full guard. Milicz looking to sit in guard and control but Slipchenko gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Milicz is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Slipchenko got a little sloppy there for a moment and Milicz has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Slipchenko has managed to get both his arms back between Milicz's legs - danger averted. Milicz keeping moving, preventing Slipchenko from controlling successfully. Milicz looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Milicz is looking for a triangle here but Slipchenko uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Slipchenko is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Milicz knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Grigoriy Slipchenko has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Curtis Milicz is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Slipchenko cracks Milicz with a big right hand but Milicz just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
And that's the end of the fight! Curtis Milicz showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Milicz, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
