The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Tiny Johnson and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beetson bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Gracie's head.
Gracie throws an off balance right hand
and Beetson counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Beetson cracks Gracie with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Gracie misses with a looping right.
Gracie throws a right hand that misses
and Beetson counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Beetson uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Gracie.
Gracie defending well as Beetson loads up on a big left hand.
Athur Beetson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gracie throws an off balance right hand
enabling Beetson to counter with a crisp jab.
Gracie misses with an uppercut
and Beetson counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

A lazy left from Beetson finds it's target.
Beetson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Beetson keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Gracie.
Gracie has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Beetson feints a jab promting Gracie to slip. Beetson then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Gracie slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Beetson lands a jab.
Beetson misses with a double jab.
Beetson lands a jab-cross combination.
Beetson lands a jab to the nose.
Beetson tries to bum rush Gracie with a series of wild strikes but Gracie uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
A big right from Gracie misses.
Gracie jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Beetson staying out of range there.
Gracie throws a jab but it's blocked by Beetson.
Gracie misses with an uppercut.
Nice uppercut lands for Beetson. That snapped Gracie's head back.

Gracie throws a looping overhand right but Beetson ducks down to avoid it.
Gracie is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

Beetson displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Gracie throws out the jab.
Beetson throws a series of strikes that have Gracie backpedaling.
Gracie throws a hook to the side of Beetson's head but Beetson sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Beetson lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Gracie backs up against the cage.
Gracie is rocked!
Beetson steps in with a hook that catches Gracie right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Beetson follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Gracie looks absolutely devastated.
