Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Frank Sinatra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rolf Kross (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 7 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frank Sinatra! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rolf Kross! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Chris Downing and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sinatra connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Kross momentarily.
Sinatra cracks Kross with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. A swing and a miss from Sinatra. Sinatra throws an overhand right that lands on Kross's shoulder, as Kross tries to avoid the shot. Kross throws a head kick that misses. Kross avoids the body shot from Sinatra.
Sinatra just misses with a punch to the body.
A looping hook to the body misses from Sinatra. Kross does a little dance to reset his feet. A shot to the liver by Sinatra. Beautiful body shot. Sinatra with a jab. Kross jabbing away but nothing is landing. Kross misses with a series of wild punches.

Nice shot by Sinatra. Sinatra shoots and misses and Kross counters with a left and a right that stings Sinatra. Sinatra shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Kross counters with a left and a right that stings Sinatra. Sinatra is trying hard to land a takedown here. Kross sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Frank Sinatra. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kross slips a jab from Sinatra. Rolf Kross is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Sinatra tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kross swivels and escapes.

He's got his arms around Kross's waist but Kross gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sinatra off to one side. Sinatra misses with a left hand letting Kross counter with a right hand. Kross lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Sinatra circles away quickly and effectively. Sinatra fails to land the takedown. Kross throws a half hearted mid kick. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Sinatra blocks a head kick by Kross.

Kross throws a nice looking combination but Sinatra bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kross looks to land a combination but Sinatra avoids it well. Kross stuffs the takedown attempt from Sinatra. Sinatra gets slowly back to his feet. Kross stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kross wants it to stay on the feet. Sinatra looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Sinatra throws a jab when Kross was well out of range. Sinatra swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Sinatra looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Sinatra is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Kross defends it well. Kross moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Kross looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Sinatra has picked Kross up and slammed him! Kross can't keep hold of the triangle and Sinatra manages to pass to side control! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Sinatra creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Kross sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That took the wind out of him momentarily. Sinatra throws a hook but Kross avoids it easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sinatra looks for a takedown but Kross sprawls well. Kross throws a combination that misses and Sinatra counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Kross throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Sinatra shoots in for a double leg but Kross sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Sinatra throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Kross slips a jab from Sinatra. Sinatra shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kross as he avoids it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Frank Sinatra. That's going to take a lot out of him. Sinatra scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Sinatra is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Kross has managed to free his arm - good work. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Sinatra is in close to Kross's body, working some short punches and elbows. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sinatra passes Kross's left leg - he's now in half guard. Sinatra wants to free his trapped foot but Kross is holding on for dear life with his legs. Sinatra sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Kross defending well though. Sinatra wants to pass the guard but Kross is defending well. Sinatra looks to land a strike but Kross avoids it nicely and regains full guard.

Sinatra throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Kross works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Sinatra postures up.
Sinatra stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kross swivels though and keeps the full guard. Sinatra got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kross has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Sinatra has managed to get both his arms back between Kross's legs - danger averted. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Sinatra throwing strikes from guard but Kross blocks nicely. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A jab from Sinatra misses. Sinatra uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Kross has time to react. Frank Sinatra is winning the standup battle so far. Kross swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Sinatra counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Sinatra wants to work for an arm triangle but Kross is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sinatra looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Frank Sinatra overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Sinatra seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Kross does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Sinatra trying to pass the guard but Kross defending well.

Sinatra has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Sinatra trying to control but Kross is working from the bottom. Sinatra throws a strike but Kross rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Sinatra is pushing down on Kross's leg trying to pass to half guard. Kross is fighting to maintain full guard but Sinatra has managed to sneak the leg through. Sinatra wants to pass to mount but Kross is defending the position. Sinatra uses his free foot to push down on Kross's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Kross. Sinatra dominating with strikes here.

Kross is looking to improve his position but Sinatra isn't that keen on the idea. Sinatra punching from mount but Kross doing a good job of avoiding damage. Sinatra throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Sinatra goes for an armbar but Kross turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Kross. Kross trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kross throws a big elbow that misses. Kross working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Kross throwing strikes from guard but Sinatra blocks nicely. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Sinatra is looking to stand up but Kross isn't so interested in that idea. Kross with a flurry of punches that miss. Kross trying to control the position from guard on top but Sinatra is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Sinatra tries to land a sweep but no joy. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Sinatra preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Kross postures up in Sinatra's guard and throws a big left but Sinatra blocks it. Rolf Kross has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Sinatra pulls Kross in to control the position.
And that's the end of the fight! Frank Sinatra showed his dominance in that final round. Well Sinatra has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
