Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Bo Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Kercsik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Michael Kercsik!
The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Illya Tyunina and Konstantin Menshow.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson throws the kick towards the body but Kercsik avoids it.
Jackson lands with a thumping leg kick.
Jackson misses with a head kick.

Kercsik in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Jackson lands a big elbow.
Jackson lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Kercsik hang on?
Kercsik really wants to buck Jackson off and get back to his feet.
Jackson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Kercsik's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Jackson takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jackson has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Bo Jackson just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

Kercsik is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

Jackson swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Kercsik is now in Jackson's guard. A big mistake from Jackson there, giving up the dominant position!

Jackson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Kercsik but Kercsik pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Kercsik moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Jackson shoots in for a double leg but Kercsik sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Kercsik is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Michael Kercsik seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A nice combination there by Kercsik.
Kercsik closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Kercsik throws a right and a left that Jackson avoids nicely.

Kercsik wants to clinch up but Jackson keeps it at a distance.

The fight stays on the outside here - Kercsik looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Jackson closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kercsik is pushing Jackson's head away, looking to escape. Jackson manages to hold on to the position though.
Jackson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kercsik keeps working.

Jackson moves into full mount!

Jackson goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Kercsik is on top in guard.
Jackson has control of Kercsik's left arm, preventing Kercsik from doing any damage.
Jackson manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Kercsik manages to get himself to full guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Jackson sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Kercsik's guard.
Jackson is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Kercsik!

Jackson is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Kercsik is surviving well by controlling Jackson's body position as best he can.
Jackson fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!


Jackson looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kercsik is fending him off so far but Jackson persists. Nope, Kercsik circles away and we're back to standing.

Jackson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Jackson slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Jackson is looking to take a break and control but Kercsik is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Kercsik parries the strikes from Jackson easily there. Jackson is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Kercsik to escape.
Jackson works to advance to full mount. Kercsik defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Jackson takes Kercsik's back. Could be looking for a rear naked choke here - either way, Kercsik is in trouble.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Kercsik covering up well and avoiding damage.
Jackson lands a punch to the side of the head from the back.
Jackson somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back.
Jackson controls the action.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kercsik grimaces as he takes a shot to the body.
Good control from Jackson.
Kercsik takes a big shot to the side of the head.

Jackson is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Kercsik has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
Kercsik is trying to stand back up.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Jackson is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Kercsik knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Kercsik for a finish.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Jackson, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
