The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Magri throws a jab when Rogers was well out of range.
Rogers scores with a jab to the body.
Rogers takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Magri connects with a crisp jab.

and Rogers counters with a lovely shot to the body.

Magri tries to bum rush Rogers with a series of wild strikes but Rogers uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Magri throws a hook to the side of Rogers's head but Rogers sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Magri goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Magri is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Rogers.

Rogers tries to score a power double leg takedown but Magri sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Rogers somewhat.

Rogers shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Rogers controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Magri wants to stand and escape but Rogers is having none of it.
Rogers stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Magri swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Rogers trying to control the position from guard on top but Magri is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Magri lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Nice uppercut there from Magri.
Rogers looks to score with a jab to the body but Magri is just out of range.
Magri throws a lazy right hand but Rogers sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Rogers throws the left hand but Magri avoids the punch easily.

Oooooh!!! Magri has knocked Rogers down with a huge combo! Magri steps away and waves a wobbly Rogers back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

It looks like Kenny Rogers has been cut.
