Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nick Lorey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexei Nikolaevich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lorey comes to the cage accompanied by Kaney West- Amazing. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Nick Lorey! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Alexei Nikolaevich! The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Fedor Mirinova and Konstantin Menshow.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lorey keeps the fight on the outside.
Lorey gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Nikolaevich to score an easy takedown into full guard. Nikolaevich trying to control but Lorey is working from the bottom. Lorey throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Nikolaevich tries to free his leg and advance position but Lorey is retaining full guard. Lorey not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Lorey will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Nikolaevich slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
 OK we're going to have a standup here. Alexei Nikolaevich hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Nikolaevich tries to clinch there but Lorey circles away.
Lorey shoots for a double leg takedown but Nikolaevich sprawls well. He's pushed Lorey's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Nikolaevich tries for a takedown but Lorey sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Nikolaevich shoots in looking for a takedown but Lorey manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Nikolaevich's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Lorey. Lorey tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Nikolaevich swivels and escapes. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nick Lorey. That's going to take a lot out of him. Nikolaevich slaps away a takedown attempt from Lorey, before circling back to the center of the mat. Nikolaevich closes this distance looking for a takedown but Lorey circles away. Nikolaevich moves in looking to clinch but Lorey pushes him off. Nikolaevich looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Lorey is fending him off so far but Nikolaevich persists. Nope, Lorey circles away and we're back to standing. We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Nikolaevich has eaten all the pies! Nikolaevich looks gassed!

Lorey tightens his grip and picks Nikolaevich up, before dumping him to the ground. Nikolaevich manages to land in guard. Lorey working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Horrible takedown by Nikolaevich or perhaps it was just good defense by Lorey which made him look bad.
Lorey shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Nikolaevich napping and manages to drive through into side control! Lorey works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Lorey lands some shots froms side control.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Nikolaevich tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Lorey wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Lorey working the ground and pound. Lorey lands an elbow. Nikolaevich takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Lorey cracks Nikolaevich with a big right hand but Nikolaevich just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The ground and pound from Lorey seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Nikolaevich parries the strikes from Lorey easily there. Lorey is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Nikolaevich to escape.
Nikolaevich tries to improve position but can't. Lorey scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Nikolaevich to see if he's OK. Nikolaevich takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Nikolaevich is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Lorey asserts his dominance and retains side control. Nikolaevich taking punishment in the form of punches.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Lorey avoids the strikes from the bottom by Nikolaevich.
Lorey decides to stand back up. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Lorey has his takedown stuffed
and Nikolaevich counters with a nice double leg into side control. Lorey won't be happy with that.
Nikolaevich is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Lorey knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Both fighters take a look at the clock. And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Nick Lorey will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action!

Nikolaevich with a couple of short strikes. Lorey looks out of his depth in this position - he's holding on tight. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Nikolaevich tries to control but Lorey wriggling away.

Lorey swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing. Lorey is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Nikolaevich wants to control but instead Lorey manages to regain half guard.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Lorey trying to get back to full guard but Nikolaevich takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount! Nikolaevich avoids the attempt from Lorey to control. Lorey is wriggling around trying to escape.
Nikolaevich controlling the pace for now. Lorey is trying desperately to improve position.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Nikolaevich controlling from the full mount. Nikolaevich prevents Lorey from getting the reversal. Lorey flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Lorey is trying desperately to improve position. Lorey tries to hold on but Nikolaevich pushes him away. And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.
Alexei Nikolaevich showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nick Lorey. That's going to take a lot out of him. Nikolaevich shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Lorey sprawls well. Lorey wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Nikolaevich gets slowly back to his feet. Lorey with a lazy takedown attempt
and Nikolaevich counters with a takedown into side control. Lorey is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Lorey is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Lorey wants to control but Nikolaevich is keeping busy and won't allow it.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Nikolaevich uses his free foot to push down on Lorey's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Lorey.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Lorey reaches up to try and control the position but Nikolaevich seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Lorey rolls and tries to escape and now Nikolaevich has his back!

Alexei Nikolaevich has got the better of the ground game so far.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Lorey is trying to get back to his feet but Nikolaevich has full control of the position and if anything, Lorey has just worked his way into a worse spot. Lorey looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Lorey is in bad spot here.

And that's the end of the fight! Alexei Nikolaevich comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Nikolaevich has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
