2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Chris Johnson! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Trevor Gratis and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice takedown defense from Targaryen. No joy for Johnson on that attempt. Johnson fails to land with a series of punches.
Targaryen tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Targaryen tries to clinch up but Johnson circles away and keeps his distance. Targaryen doesn't manage to clinch there - Johnson circles away.

Johnson drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Johnson trying to control the action but Targaryen is working from the bottom. Johnson is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Targaryen's shoulder. That is not cool. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Targaryen wants to get back to his feet but Johnson drags him back down. Johnson happy to just control the position for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Targaryen can't do much from the bottom here. Johnson stands up. Targaryen throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Targaryen is looking to clinch. Targaryen tries to clinch up but Johnson circles away and keeps his distance. Targaryen tries to clinch but Johnson moves out of range. Johnson fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Johnson takes a swing at Targaryen's ribcage but misses. Nice sprawl there from Johnson as Targaryen shoots in. Targaryen tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Johnson paws at him with a jab and circles away. Targaryen throws a hook to the side of Johnson's head but Johnson sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Johnson avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Targaryen fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Johnson, pushing him back against the cage. Targaryen wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Johnson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Targaryen is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Johnson takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Johnson looks gassed! Targaryen misses with a double jab.
Targaryen knocks Johnson to the floor with a head kick! Can he finish him!?

It looks like Chris Johnson has been cut. Targaryen working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Johnson is still in real trouble! Can Targaryen finish him? Johnson wants to control but Targaryen postures up.

Targaryen wants to stand and escape but Johnson is having none of it. Johnson decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Targaryen looks to clinch and Johnson counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
That's four minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Targaryen wants to get back to his feet but Johnson is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Targaryen keeping full guard, as Johnson tries to pass. Targaryen working a defensive guard here.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Targaryen can't do much from the bottom here. Oops... bit sloppy there by Targaryen. Johnson just content to control the position. Johnson decides to stand back up. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Johnson looks for a takedown but Targaryen sprawls well. Johnson tries to clinch up. A head kick by Targaryen misses and Johnson counters with a single leg into guard. Targaryen didn't expect that. Johnson looking to pass the guard. Johnson is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Targaryen is working an open guard so Johnson takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Targaryen is fending him off so far but Johnson persists. Nope, Targaryen circles away and we're back to standing. Rhaegar Targaryen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chris Johnson. Johnson keeps the fight on the outside. Targaryen moves in looking to clinch but Johnson pushes him off. Johnson blocks a head kick by Targaryen.

He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Johnson pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Targaryen tumbling to the mat - Johnson dives into Targaryen's guard. Johnson passes Targaryen's left leg - he's now in half guard. Johnson stands up and beckons Targaryen to join him on the feet. Targaryen tries to clinch but Johnson is having none of it. Targaryen looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Targaryen tries to clinch up but Johnson circles away and keeps his distance.

The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Johnson has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Targaryen fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Rhaegar Targaryen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Targaryen looks to clinch and Johnson moves into the clinch. Johnson tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Targaryen just stands there and leans against the cage. Johnson prevents the takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rhaegar Targaryen. That's going to take a lot out of him. Johnson tries to throw a body punch but Targaryen avoids it by throwing Johnson back against the cage. Targaryen breaks from the clinch.

Targaryen has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Johnson is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. A short right from Targaryen on the inside. Targaryen breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Targaryen closes the distance looking to clinch and Johnson counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Targaryen's guard now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Targaryen tries to land a sweep but no joy. Johnson stands and steps away. Targaryen gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Johnson rushes Targaryen and presses him up against the cage. Johnson jumps into guard, dragging Targaryen to the mat.
Targaryen wants to stand but Johnson has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Johnson manages to escape and get back to his feet.
A combination from Johnson does no damage. Johnson thuds his shin into the meat of Targaryen's side. Targaryen lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Targaryen moves into range and clinches up with Johnson. Johnson pulls Targaryen into guard.
Johnson is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Johnson has a closed guard, preventing Targaryen from standing up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Johnson keeping moving, preventing Targaryen from controlling successfully. Johnson is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Johnson avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Targaryen trying to stand up but can't free himself from Johnson's guard. Johnson trying to keep a closed guard but Targaryen is proving a slippery customer.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Johnson throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Rhaegar Targaryen has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Targaryen dodges the punch combination from Johnson.
Targaryen throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
And that's the end of the fight! Chris Johnson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Johnson winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
