Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Iglig Bloodrock! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jamal Jones! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Daniel Franklin and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bloodrock tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Jones was well out of range. Poor timing from Bloodrock. Jones scores with a crisp jab that stopped Bloodrock in his tracks. Bloodrock shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Jones counters with a two punch combo. Jones closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Jones lands in his opponent's guard. Jones postures up.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Bloodrock looking to sweep here. No luck so far. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bloodrock working a defensive guard here.
Jones missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Bloodrock not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Bloodrock throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bloodrock manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Jones manages to get himself to full guard.
Jones really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bloodrock. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Bloodrock throwing strikes from guard but Jones blocks nicely. Bloodrock missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Bloodrock has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Bloodrock sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Jones's guard. Bloodrock is trying to control the action in half guard but Jones is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Bloodrock is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Bloodrock not landing any meaningful shots this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bloodrock looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Bloodrock is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Jones has managed to free his arm - good work. Bloodrock missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Jones is holding on to half guard well. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bloodrock passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Jones! Bloodrock trying to control but Jones is having none of it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bloodrock prevents Jones from getting the reversal. Bloodrock tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Jones is squirming around, avoiding Bloodrock's attempts to control the action. Bloodrock with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bloodrock thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Bloodrock throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Jones can't escape the position.
Jones avoids a series of strikes thrown by Bloodrock.
Jones holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Bloodrock tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Poor strikes thrown by Bloodrock there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Bloodrock is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Jones can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Iglig Bloodrock dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Jones keeps the fight on the outside. Jones darts in and clinches Bloodrock up against the cage. Jones tries to break free but Bloodrock pushes him back against the cage. A frustrated look appears on Jones's face as he tries to break the clinch. Jones is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Jones working some nice short punches in the clinch. Jones pulls guard successfully.
Bloodrock pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Jones is keeping the position for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bloodrock stands up from Jones's guard - Bloodrock perhaps looking for a knockout. Bloodrock tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Jones counters with a straight right hand. Bloodrock slaps away a takedown attempt from Jones, before circling back to the center of the mat. Jones is breathing heavily. Bloodrock gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Jones postures up in Bloodrock's guard and throws a big left but Bloodrock blocks it. Bloodrock looking for a guillotine here but Jones defends easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bloodrock lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Jones! Bloodrock looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Bloodrock is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Jones has managed to escape the submission attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bloodrock wants to finish this one by submission but Jones is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Bloodrock. Jones flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
Bloodrock trying to control but Jones is having none of it. Bloodrock working for a submission but Jones is keeping him at bay.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bloodrock with the ground and pound from mount. Bloodrock trying to control but Jones is having none of it. A nice elbow there by Bloodrock. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Bloodrock controlling from the full mount. Bloodrock looking to ground and pound but Jones is blocking nicely. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Iglig Bloodrock dominated that second round. That's time! Back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Jones stuffs the takedown. Jones lands a nice shot that snaps Bloodrock's head back.
Iglig Bloodrock seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jones connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Bloodrock's hands. Jones lands with a nice combination. Bloodrock backs away looking to recover. Jones changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bloodrock tries to avoid it but Jones manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bloodrock to the ground. Bloodrock escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Bloodrock could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Jones slaps away a takedown attempt from Bloodrock, before circling back to the center of the mat. Jones smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Jones misses with a takedown attempt - Bloodrock sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Jones closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Jones takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones lands with a light punch inside. Bloodrock tries for a takedown but Jones manages to get underhooks.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Iglig Bloodrock. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jones tries to circle away but Bloodrock has him pinned against the cage. Jones goes for a takedown attempt but Bloodrock pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Jones dives in and grabs Bloodrock's left leg, looking for a takedown. Bloodrock pushes down on Jones's head and hops out. Bloodrock will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Bloodrock fails with the takedown and Jones counters with a straight right hand. Bloodrock shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Jones defends it nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones has closed the distance and engaged Bloodrock in a clinch.
Jones tries to score a body lock takedown but Bloodrock shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Bloodrock has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Jones is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Jones has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Jones jumps into guard, dragging Bloodrock to the mat.
Bloodrock pushing down on Jones's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Jones wants to get back to his feet.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Bloodrock lands a nice short elbow. Bloodrock is working for a submission of some sort.
Jones blocking the ground and pound attempt from Bloodrock. Bloodrock throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Iglig Bloodrock is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Jones trying to control but Bloodrock postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bloodrock looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Bloodrock is keen to just control but Jones is a slippery customer. Bloodrock sitting and controlling from the half guard.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Iglig Bloodrock just wasn't active enough. Bloodrock fails with a takedown attempt. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Bloodrock is trying hard to land a takedown here. Jones sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
And that's the end of the fight! Jamal Jones comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Bloodrock has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
