The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jaeger shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Maipen as he jumps to the side.
Maipen misses with a body shot.
Maipen lands with a nice body punch.
A looping hook to the body misses from Maipen. Jaeger does a little dance to reset his feet.
Maipen thows a body shot but no joy.
Jaeger tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Jaeger shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Maipen misses with a wild body shot.
Maipen lands a slapping body shot.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Maipen lands with a shot to the body.
Jaeger is breathing heavily.
Maipen fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

and Jaeger counters with a series of strikes. Maipen will be more careful next time no doubt.
Maipen throws a looping overhand right but Jaeger ducks down to avoid it.
Maipen is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Jaeger rather than just go for the knockout.

Maipen throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Maipen throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Jaeger on the side of the head.

Maipen's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Jaeger connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Maipen scrambles back to his feet.
Jaeger bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Jaeger closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Maipen keeps the fight on the outside.

Maipen lands a big right hand that sends Jaeger crashing to the mat! Maipen stays standing though and waves Jaeger back to his feet!

Jaeger is rocked!
Maipen throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Jaeger sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Oh Jaeger is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
A head kick misses from Jaeger.
Maipen throws a good cross that connects.
Maipen circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Jaeger to the canvas! Jaeger doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Maipen keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
