The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mick has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Shaw. Excellent takedown into side control there by Shaw. Shaw advances nicely into full mount. Shaw breaks from Mick's wrist control and lands an elbow. Shaw takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Shaw manages to capitalize on a mistake by Mick to take his back! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Shaw lands punches and elbows. Shaw is working for the choke. It looks like he might have got it... has he...? Yes! Mick is tapping out! This one is all over!
