The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Joyal gets the takedown into side control.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Joyal looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Driver can't do much from the bottom here.
Driver is looking to regain half guard here but Joyal keeps moving and retains side control.
Joyal in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Joyal prevents Driver from escaping the position.
Joyal grinds an elbow into Driver's temple.
Joyal lands a decent elbow from side control.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Driver is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Driver tries to bench press Joyal off him but Joyal keeps the position.
Joyal in side control lands a decent elbow.

Joyal is working to tighten is grip on Driver's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Driver has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Joyal is really squeezing tight and eventually Driver passes out! Joyal breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
