The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pegas fails in his attempt to clinch.
Pegas tries to close the distance and clinch but Balon swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Pegas moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
It looks like Mariusz Balon has been cut.
Pegas tries to clinch but Balon is having none of it.

Balon goes for a takedown attempt but Pegas pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Pegas tries to bum rush Balon with a series of wild strikes but Balon uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Pegas scores with a jab to the head.
Balon avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Good leg kick by Pegas there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
