Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Pat McDermot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Kesler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kesler comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Cancer Bats - Deathsmarch kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Ryan Kesler told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

15 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Pat McDermot!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Bruno Lombardi and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kesler fails with a takedown attempt.
A nice inside leg kick there by Kesler. That's going to slow McDermot down.
McDermot throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Kesler on the side of the head.
McDermot takes a shot right to the bread basket.

Kesler takes a swing at McDermot's ribcage but misses.
Kesler shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says McDermot as he avoids it easily.
Kesler darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Good shot there by McDermot.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kesler throws a shot from downtown. McDermot moves away and avoids it.
McDermot lands a left and a right that send Kesler crashing to the mat, dazed. McDermot thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Kesler is rocked!
McDermot feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Kesler sprawling to the canvas! Kesler rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can McDermot finish him?!
Kesler is still on wobbly legs! Can McDermot finish him?
McDermot will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
McDermot changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Are you kidding me?! McDermot ducked down and unloaded an uppercut from hell that sent Kesler clean off his feet! Someone make me a GIF - that's knockout of the night for sure!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Pat McDermot!
