The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson scores with a sloppy right hand. holmes should have avoided that one.
holmes fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

holmes is persistently looking for the submission but Jackson is defending it well.
jussi holmes overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
holmes slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
holmes is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Jackson has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but holmes has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Jackson taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. holmes doesn't care though - he's delighted!
