Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Radek Kowalski!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Sergei Dronov and Fedor Mirinova.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kavkazec shoots for a double leg takedown but Kowalski sprawls well. He's pushed Kavkazec's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Kavkazec gets a takedown into half guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Kavkazec is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Kowalski has managed to free his arm - good work.
Kavkazec perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Kowalski is looking to improve his position.
Kavkazec stalling away here and it's allowed Kowalski to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
Kavkazec throwing strikes from guard but Kowalski blocks nicely.
Kowalski is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kowalski looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kavkazec is one step ahead there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kavkazec seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Kavkazec is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Kavkazec wants to control from the top but Kowalski keeps moving.

Kavkazec gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Kavkazec could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Kowalski circles away from the clinch attempt.

Kowalski looking to score a takedown here. Kavkazec is defending well but Kowalski drives through and ends up in Kavkazec's guard.
Kavkazec is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Kowalski is sitting in close to Kavkazec's body. Kavkazec has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Kowalski is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Kowalski is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Kavkazec.
