Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Jarvis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Travis Faure (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jarvis comes to the cage accompanied by Brian M vs. McBunn - Loud Music (original mix). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Johnny Jarvis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Travis Faure! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Alan Glass and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Faure tries to score a power double leg takedown but Jarvis sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Faure somewhat. The fight stays on the outside here - Jarvis looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Faure shoots in looking for a takedown but Jarvis manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Faure's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Jarvis looks to clinch and Faure counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Jarvis striking off his back but it's not causing Faure any problems. Faure drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Faure jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Jarvis wants to stand but Faure is controlling the position. Faure drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Jarvis dives on top into guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Jarvis is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Faure manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Jarvis manages to get himself to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Faure has gone for a leg lock! Jarvis slips out almost immediately though and dives into Faure's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Faure keeping moving, preventing Jarvis from controlling successfully. Jarvis engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Jarvis got a little sloppy there for a moment and Faure has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Jarvis has managed to get both his arms back between Faure's legs - danger averted. Jarvis pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Faure is keeping the position for now. Faure has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Jarvis can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Faure is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Faure has his foot on Jarvis's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Jarvis works his way back into a safe position though. Jarvis lands a couple of digs. Jarvis with a nice head shot there. Jarvis trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Jarvis has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. This has been an exciting period of action! Jarvis wants to control from the top but Faure keeps moving. Faure working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Jarvis has passed into half guard!
Jarvis working Faure over with strikes. Faure wants to get back to full guard. Jarvis looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Faure is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Faure on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Faure looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Faure is looking for a sweep. Jarvis is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Faure looks gassed! Faure slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Jarvis advances position into side control! Jarvis creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Faure sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Faure is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Jarvis scores with a couple of nice shots. Faure taking some punishment here, with Jarvis in his half guard. Faure tries to get to full guard but Jarvis has control of the leg. Jarvis is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Faure is looking to improve his position but Jarvis isn't that keen on the idea.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Faure is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Jarvis lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Faure hang on? Jarvis with good strikes from the mount here! Jarvis can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Faure is looking to escape. Jarvis unloading with bombs!
Faure is rocked! Faure really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Jarvis connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Faure is still in real trouble! Can Jarvis finish him? Jarvis loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Faure scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Jarvis land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Jarvis stands and salutes the crowd.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Johnny Jarvis!
