Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Daniel Cesar and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Gracie.
Gracie shoots for a takedown but Soared De Morais saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Soared De Morais blocks a jab.
Soared De Morais throws a right and a left that both miss.
Soared De Morais wants to clinch.
Gracie moves into the clinch successfully.
Gracie has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Soared De Morais tries for a takedown. No joy.
Gracie is trying to drag Soared De Morais to the mat but Soared De Morais just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Welliton Soared De Morais has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ken Gracie.

Soared De Morais escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Gracie defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Soared De Morais.
Gracie dives in and grabs Soared De Morais's left leg, looking for a takedown. Soared De Morais pushes down on Gracie's head and hops out.
Gracie looking to score a takedown here. Soared De Morais is defending well but Gracie drives through and ends up in Soared De Morais's guard.
Soared De Morais has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Gracie drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Gracie jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Gracie slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Gracie got a little sloppy there for a moment and Soared De Morais has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Gracie has managed to get both his arms back between Soared De Morais's legs - danger averted.

Gracie passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Gracie is trying to get an arm triangle but Soared De Morais is defending well.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Gracie wants to lay and pray for a moment but Soared De Morais keeps working.
Gracie has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Soared De Morais is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Gracie yanks on the arm and Soared De Morais is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Gracie.
