Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Corey Cormier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Parts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Cormier might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Pharoahe Monch - Simon Says. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Cormier lands a nice hook to Parts's body. Parts takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
The fight stays on the outside here - Parts looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Cormier wants to clinch up but Parts keeps it at a distance.
Cormier tries to score a power double leg takedown but Parts sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Cormier somewhat.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Parts, as that shot connected.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Cormier. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Parts changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Cormier looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Cormier manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Parts shoots in looking for a takedown. Cormier tries to sprawl out of it but Parts keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Cormier manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Parts pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Cormier was done - good stoppage!
