Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Cobra Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Deano Clavet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Deano Clavet has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Cobra Gracie's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Cobra Gracie! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Deano Clavet! The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Anthony Taglia and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Clavet closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Gracie to the mat! Gracie manages to get full guard. Gracie looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Clavet accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Gracie will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Gracie had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Clavet defends it easily. Gracie tries to land a sweep but no joy. Clavet looking to pass the guard. Clavet wants to stand and escape but instead Gracie has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Clavet wants to sweep here but Gracie controlling him for the moment. Gracie looking to pass the guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Clavet thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Clavet holds on and takes a little breather.
That's one minute gone in the round. Clavet utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Gracie preventing the sweep. Clavet is trying to keep Gracie in close.
Deano Clavet has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Clavet pushes Gracie up against the cage in a clinch. Clavet prevents the takedown attempt.
Clavet lands an elbow that stopped Gracie in his tracks for a moment. Clavet missing with knees to the body.
A short right from Clavet. A frustrated look appears on Gracie's face as he tries to break the clinch. Clavet lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. Clavet manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gracie preventing the sweep. Clavet is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Clavet working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Clavet has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Clavet throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Gracie is not content to let Clavet control the position. Gracie has a hand on Clavet's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Clavet takes advantage of the position though and mounts him! Clavet takes Gracie's back. Clavet is trying to stick to Gracie's back but Gracie is turning into Clavet. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Clavet's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Gracie. Clavet throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Gracie tries to free his leg and advance position but Clavet is retaining full guard. Gracie is breathing heavily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Clavet is trying to keep Gracie in close.
Gracie avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Gracie postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Clavet is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Gracie, into his guard. Clavet gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Clavet shoots in looking for a takedown but Gracie manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Clavet's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Clavet shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Gracie sprawls well. Gracie wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Clavet gets slowly back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Gracie!
Gracie swats away the attempt to clinch by Clavet. Clavet shoots in and gets a takedown into Gracie's guard. Clavet trying to move into half guard but instead Gracie has managed to sweep! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Clavet is looking for a triangle but Gracie pushes his legs off easily.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Gracie drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Clavet manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Gracie has Clavet in his guard. Gracie working for a triangle but Clavet defends it easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Deano Clavet dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Clavet closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Clavet lands in his opponent's guard. Clavet stands and steps away. Gracie gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Cobra Gracie is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Clavet. Clavet tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Gracie swivels and escapes. Clavet is looking to clinch. Clavet moves into the clinch. Clavet jumps guard and drags Gracie to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Gracie drops back, looking for a kneebar! Clavet looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Clavet looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Clavet!
That's one minute gone in the round. Gracie is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Clavet cracks Gracie with an elbow. That is naaassty. Gracie taking punishment in the form of punches.
Gracie gets back to half guard. Clavet wants to free his trapped foot but Gracie is holding on for dear life with his legs. Gracie looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Deano Clavet has got the better of the ground game so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Clavet takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Clavet winds up and cracks Gracie with a swinging punch to the side of the head. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Clavet wants to control but Gracie is keeping him busy. Clavet prevents Gracie from improving his position. Gracie is staying active underneath Clavet, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Deano Clavet was stalling too much, according to the referee. Gracie shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Clavet as he avoids it easily. Clavet looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Gracie is fending him off so far but Clavet persists. Nope, Gracie circles away and we're back to standing. Cobra Gracie has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Deano Clavet. Clavet shoots for a takedown but Gracie saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Clavet fails with the takedown. Clavet is trying hard to land a takedown here. Gracie sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Clavet closes the distance and clinches up with Gracie, looking for a takedown. Clavet pushes Gracie against the cage but Gracie circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Clavet shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Gracie defends it nicely. Clavet shoots in but Gracie avoids the takedown attempt easily. A nice leg kick lands there from Clavet. Gracie fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Clavet shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Gracie as he jumps to the side.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Clavet tries to close the distance and clinch up but Gracie swats him away and circles back towards the center. Gracie scores with the left hand. Clavet knows he should have avoided that one. Clavet tries to clinch up but Gracie circles away and keeps his distance. Deano Clavet seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Clavet attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Clavet shoots in but Gracie avoids the takedown attempt easily. Clavet fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Gracie fails to land the takedown. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Gracie closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Deano Clavet showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Clavet looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Gracie! Gracie is looking to improve his position but Clavet isn't that keen on the idea. Clavet scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Gracie?
Clavet is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Gracie has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Gracie is in all sorts of trouble here.
Gracie takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Clavet with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Clavet manages to capitalize on a mistake by Gracie to take his back! Both fighters are breathing heavily. Clavet working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Gracie is doing well to defend. Clavet seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Gracie is forced to tap and this one is over!
