Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Grant Crouch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricky Jenkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Crouch comes to the cage accompanied by Headstrong. Jenkins comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Dare kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Ricky Jenkins is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Grant Crouch! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 12 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ricky Jenkins! The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Jonathan Paton and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jenkins swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Crouch counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Crouch scores with a nice right hand.
Jenkins ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Crouch moves away. Jenkins throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Crouch's head.
It looks like Grant Crouch has been cut. Jenkins fails to land with a series of punches.
Jenkins misses with the combination.
Crouch tries to land a front kick but Jenkins steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Jenkins throws a sloppy head kick and Crouch moves out of range easily. Sloppy strikes from Jenkins. Those never looked like landing. Crouch clinches. Crouch pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Decent striking displayed by Crouch there. This has been an exciting period of action! Crouch connects with a body shot. Jenkins throws a right and a left that both miss. Crouch blocks a head kick by Jenkins.
Crouch takes a body punch but keeps moving. Jenkins misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

That's one minute gone in the round. Crouch closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Jenkins crunches a lovely knee into Crouch's ribcage. Jenkins tries a body shot but Crouch blocks it.

Crouch punishes Jenkins's body with a nice straight punch. Jenkins is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Crouch. Crouch throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Jenkins on the side of the head. Crouch shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Crouch was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Jenkins is hanging on here. He's in a desperate position. Jenkins is trying to stand.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Crouch misses with a head shot. Crouch avoids the attempt from Jenkins to control. Crouch trying to control but Jenkins is having none of it. Crouch is really struggling to control Jenkins but he's trying to hold on to the position. Jenkins wants to control but Crouch is having none of it. You get the feeling that Jenkins really doesn't like being in this position too much.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Crouch is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Jenkins to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Jenkins shrugs it off. Jenkins manages to control the position for a moment. Crouch looking to control but Jenkins is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Crouch thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!

That's four minutes gone in the round. Jenkins wants to hold on but Crouch pushes him away. Crouch misses with a head shot. Jenkins looks out of his depth in this position - he's holding on tight. Jenkins tries to hold on but Crouch pushes him away. Crouch lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Jenkins is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Jenkins is hanging on here. He's in a desperate position. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Jenkins wants to control but Crouch is having none of it. Crouch trying to control but Jenkins is having none of it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Ricky Jenkins will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Grant Crouch's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Jenkins throws a right hand that Crouch ducks under and follows up with a left that Crouch also avoids with ease. Crouch shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Jenkins wants to hold on but Crouch pushes him away. Jenkins might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Crouch kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Jenkins wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Crouch.
Crouch trying to control but Jenkins is having none of it. Jenkins tries to lock up and control but Crouch gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Crouch can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Jenkins is looking to escape.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jenkins is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Jenkins is trying to get back to his feet but can't. Jenkins tries to hold on but Crouch postures up. Crouch thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Jenkins reaches up and holds on to Crouch to control the position. Jenkins tries to lock up and control but Crouch gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Jenkins is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Crouch is staying active.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Ricky Jenkins was stalling too much, according to the referee. Crouch moves into the clinch. Crouch prevents a body shot from Jenkins. Jenkins manages to break the clinch.

A combination from Jenkins does no damage. Jenkins tries to bum rush Crouch with a series of wild strikes but Crouch uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Crouch clinches. Jenkins lands a shot to the body. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Crouch looking to slow down the pace here. Jenkins putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Crouch in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body. Jenkins works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Crouch has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Jenkins is trying to keep an underhook but Crouch manages to get the takedown into half guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jenkins is trying is best to control the position here. Crouch wants to take a breather but Jenkins is having none of it. Jenkins keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount. Grant Crouch overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Ricky Jenkins was stalling too much, according to the referee. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Crouch crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Jenkins - the referee stops the clock and Crouch gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Jenkins. Crouch manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Ricky Jenkins seems to be getting the better of the standup. Crouch swings and misses with a shot to the body and Jenkins counters with a one-two to the body. This has been an exciting period of action! Jenkins rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Crouch moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Ricky Jenkins seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jenkins will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Jenkins throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Crouch throws a jab but it's blocked by Jenkins. Jenkins just misses with a punch to the body.

Jenkins scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Crouch shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Jenkins pushes Crouch off and gets back to his feet. A head kick misses from Jenkins. Jenkins rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Crouch moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Crouch closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Crouch working away. Crouch trying to control the position but Jenkins is working away. Ricky Jenkins showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Grant Crouch's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Crouch has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Jenkins. Crouch instigates a clinch. Crouch wants to break free but Jenkins has control.
Jenkins's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Crouch bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. You can see the frustration on Jenkins's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Jenkins holds on to Crouch's head and controls the position momentarily. Crouch landing a few strikes. Jenkins keeping his opponent close. Jenkins regains half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Crouch is trying to control the action in half guard but Jenkins is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Jenkins is controlling Crouch's trapped leg to prevent Crouch from advancing to side control. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Crouch is keen to just control but Jenkins is a slippery customer.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Jenkins throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Jenkins tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Crouch was well out of range. Poor timing from Jenkins. Jenkins throws a quick inside leg kick. Jenkins scores with a kick to the midsection. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Jenkins lets loose with a powerful body kick. Crouch will feel that in the morning. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Crouch shoots in and gets a takedown into Jenkins's guard. Jenkins pulls Crouch in to control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Crouch has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Crouch might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Ricky Jenkins has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Crouch lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Jenkins shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Crouch eats them both and turns towards Jenkins to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Jenkins has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Jenkins there as he acknowledges the shot. Sloppy strikes from Jenkins. Those never looked like landing. Jenkins gets tackled into the cage by Crouch. Crouch maintains the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jenkins pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Jenkins is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Crouch rather than just go for the knockout. Crouch closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Jenkins controlling the leg, holding on to half guard. Let's hope that Jenkins has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Ricky Jenkins wasn't active enough on the ground. Jenkins lands a two punch combo.
Crouch closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Jenkins keeping control of the position. Crouch missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Jenkins keeps control of the position for the meantime. Crouch is trying to control the action in half guard but Jenkins is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Grant Crouch has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
OK we're going to have a standup here. Ricky Jenkins hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Crouch closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Crouch lands in his opponent's guard. Jenkins utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
And that's the end of the fight! Ricky Jenkins comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Jenkins winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
