Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Frank Harris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chance Taken (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
17 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Frank Harris! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chance Taken! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Alan Glass and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Taken shoots in for a takedown but Harris shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Taken looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Harris misses with a body shot.
Taken drives through with a takedown into Harris's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Harris utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Harris pulls Taken in close to prevent any damage. Taken throwing strikes from guard but Harris blocks nicely. Taken trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Taken wants to control from the top but Harris keeps moving.

Chance Taken has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Taken tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Harris swivels and escapes. Frank Harris has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chance Taken. Harris gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Harris tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Harris lands an uppercut. Taken manages to pull guard.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Taken wants to stand and escape but Harris is having none of it.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Chance Taken hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Taken feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Taken makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Taken is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Taken stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Harris swivels though and keeps the full guard. Taken throws and elbow that misses. Harris uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Taken's guard. Nice move by Harris! Harris has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Taken uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Taken fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Harris sprawls well initially but Taken persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Taken wants to control but Harris is keeping him busy. Taken controlling the action here.

Taken lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Nice sprawl there from Harris as Taken shoots in. Taken closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Harris to the mat! Harris manages to get full guard. Taken wants to control from the top but Harris keeps moving.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Taken decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Taken dives in and grabs Harris's left leg, looking for a takedown. Harris pushes down on Taken's head and hops out. Harris lands a jab to the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nice sprawl there from Harris as Taken shoots in. Frank Harris has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chance Taken. A solid leg kick lands there for Taken.
The fight stays on the outside here - Harris looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Taken misses with an uppercut. Harris saw that one coming. Taken shoots in for a double leg but Harris sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Harris throws a lazy right hand but Taken sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Taken tries for a takedown but Harris sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Taken misses with a takedown attempt - Harris sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Harris with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Taken to score with a decent uppercut. Taken steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Harris. No luck for Taken with that takedown attempt. Taken shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Taken throws a strike but Harris avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Taken throws a big right hand that misses. Taken scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Taken slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Taken missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Taken trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Chance Taken has got the better of the ground game so far. Taken throws and elbow that misses. Harris uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Taken's guard. Nice move by Harris! Taken has a closed guard, preventing Harris from standing up. Harris stops Taken from standing up.

Taken is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Harris stands and steps away. Taken gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Harris slaps away a takedown attempt from Taken, before circling back to the center of the mat. Taken shoots in for a takedown but Harris shows good takedown defense. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Harris throws a jab but it's blocked by Taken. Taken shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Harris but Harris pushes him off and we're back to square one. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Chance Taken showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Harris gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Harris tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Taken manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Horrible takedown by Taken or perhaps it was just good defense by Harris which made him look bad. Frank Harris has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chance Taken. Taken shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Harris as he jumps to the side.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Chance Taken was stalling too much, according to the referee. Harris on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Chance Taken seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Taken shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Harris manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Harris wants to stand but Taken is controlling the position. Taken wants to control from the top but Harris keeps moving. Taken preventing the sweep.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Taken seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Taken throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Harris works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Harris keeping moving, preventing Taken from controlling successfully.

And that's the end of the fight! Chance Taken comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Taken has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
