The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vladimirovich drops his hands momentarily and Machado takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

It looks like Luthus Vladimirovich has been cut.
Machado bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Machado scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Vladimirovich looks for a takedown but Machado sprawls well.
Luthus Vladimirovich seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Vladimirovich throws a chopping leg kick but Machado manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Vladimirovich takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Machado is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Machado cracks Vladimirovich with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Machado scores with a hook to the body. Vladimirovich takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Machado lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Vladimirovich at a distance.

Paulo Machado is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Machado thuds his right hand into Vladimirovich's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Machado is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Machado closes the distance and lands a crisp combination that knocks Vladimirovich out cold! Vladimirovich corner are devastated, head in hands behind our commentary position. Poor guys.
