Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aaron Alard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mav Brisk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Aaron Alard!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mav Brisk!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Wagner Zegers and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brisk looks to clinch

and Alard counters with a single leg into guard. Brisk didn't expect that.

Alard drops back looking for a leg! Brisk is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Brisk manages to kick Alard off! Alard jumps back into Brisk's guard.
Alard postures up in Brisk's guard and throws a big left but Brisk blocks it.
Brisk keeping moving, preventing Alard from controlling successfully.
Alard postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Alard missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Brisk pulls Alard in close to prevent any damage.
Brisk is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Alard stops Brisk from standing up.

Alard thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Alard trying to control the position from guard on top but Brisk is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Alard pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Brisk is keeping the position for now.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Alard accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Alard controls from within his opponent's guard.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Alard dodges the punch combination from Brisk.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Alard takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Brisk rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Alard moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Mav Brisk seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Brisk is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Alard circles away from the clinch attempt.
Brisk misses with a series of wild punches.
Alard fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Brisk manages to avoid it.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Brisk wants to clinch up but Alard keeps it at a distance.
Brisk closes the distance but Alard moves to the side

and Alard counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Alard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Alard trying to control but Brisk is working from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Alard pushes down on Brisk's leg and manages to get into half guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Alard uses his free foot to push down on Brisk's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Brisk.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Aaron Alard dominated that round.
That's time! Alard's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Brisk closes the distance looking to clinch
and Alard makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Alard shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Brisk but Brisk pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Brisk stuns Alard with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Brisk tries to close the distance and clinch but Alard swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Brisk tries to close the distance and clinch up but Alard swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Brisk tries to clinch up.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Alard takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.


It looks like Aaron Alard has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Brisk doesn't manage to clinch there - Alard circles away.

Brisk fails in his attempt to clinch.
Brisk dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Brisk wants to clinch.
Alard fails with the takedown.
Brisk wants to clinch up but Alard keeps it at a distance.
Brisk misses with a wild combination.
Brisk moves in looking to clinch but Alard pushes him off.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Brisk Throws a clean left jab. Brisk Twirls his body and connects with a Spinning Back Fist that connects flush with Alard's chin! Alard crumbles to the ground and Brisk follows up with some unanswered strikes. It's all over!! Nice standup skills displayed by Brisk!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:12 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Mav Brisk!
