PBP Commentary |
Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mikola Chastokol (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Karl Hungus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mikola Chastokol looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chastokol misses with a takedown attempt and Hungus counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Hungus. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Chastokol can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Hungus controls the pace. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Chastokol keeping full guard, as Hungus tries to pass. Hungus engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Chastokol has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hungus can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Chastokol is breathing heavily. Chastokol escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hungus gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Hungus seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Hungus is pushing down on Chastokol's leg trying to pass to half guard. Chastokol is fighting to maintain full guard but Hungus has managed to sneak the leg through. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Hungus is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hungus takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Hungus passes the guard and advances to mount! Hungus tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Chastokol is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Hungus locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Chastokol is forced to tap!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Karl Hungus!
