Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Travis Corino (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ershad Mansouri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Travis Corino! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ershad Mansouri! The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Shigeki Sano and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Corino tries to clinch up but Mansouri circles away and keeps his distance. Mansouri bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Mansouri prevents Corino from escaping the position. Mansouri is staying tight to Corino's torso, preventing him from escaping. You can see the frustration on Corino's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Mansouri just content to control the position. Let's hope that Mansouri has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Ershad Mansouri was stalling too much, according to the referee. Corino wants to clinch but Mansouri slips to the side and Mansouri counters with a right hand to the body. Corino leaves Mansouri with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Corino tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Mansouri manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Corino wants to clinch up but Mansouri keeps it at a distance. Mansouri shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Corino is trying to maintain the position but Mansouri is very close to passing his half guard. Well, if Mansouri is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mansouri thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Corino's head. Mansouri is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Ershad Mansouri hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Mansouri moves out of range of the body kick. Mansouri throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Corino tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Mansouri is in Corino's guard. Mansouri not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ershad Mansouri has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Mansouri shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Corino but Corino pushes him off and we're back to square one. Corino wants to clinch. Mansouri tries to bum rush Corino with a series of wild strikes but Corino uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Corino gets caught napping as Mansouri dives in and scores a takedown. Corino manages to retain guard. Mansouri is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Corino will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Ershad Mansouri wasn't active enough on the ground. Corino tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Mansouri paws at him with a jab and circles away. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Mansouri shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Corino's guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Mansouri's corner is telling him to maintain position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ershad Mansouri dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Corino tries to close the distance and clinch but Mansouri swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Travis Corino seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Corino wants to clinch. Corino tries to clinch up. Mansouri ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Travis Corino is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Corino looks to clinch and Mansouri counters with a series of strikes that sends Corino to the canvas! Mansouri follows down into guard, looking to finish the fight! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Mansouri is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Mansouri's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Ershad Mansouri wasn't active enough on the ground. Mansouri shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Corino is trying to defend but Mansouri finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Mansouri is taking a breather. Corino says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Corino has hold of Mansouri's hands but Mansouri slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Mansouri uses his free foot to push down on Corino's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Corino. Mansouri looking to control and managing it successfully. Corino wants to control but Mansouri is having none of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mansouri takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

That's going to take a lot out of Ershad Mansouri. Corino is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Ershad Mansouri seems to be getting the better of the standup. Corino tries to clinch but fails miserably and Mansouri counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Mansouri controlling the pace. Mansouri has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Mansouri throwing shots but Corino is blocking nicely. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ershad Mansouri showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Corino tries to clinch up but Mansouri circles away and keeps his distance. Corino tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Corino wants to clinch. Mansouri fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Corino sprawls well initially but Mansouri persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Mansouri in particular looking to stall. Mansouri passes the guard and advances to mount! Mansouri lands a heavy elbow.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mansouri controlling the pace for now. Corino taking shots to the head. Mansouri has control of Corino's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Corino regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Mansouri controlling from mount. Corino is bucking up trying to escape but Mansouri cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mansouri controlling from mount. Corino defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Mansouri. Corino is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Mansouri controlling the position easily from mount. Ershad Mansouri is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mansouri lands with some strikes. Travis Corino has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Ershad Mansouri has got the better of the ground game so far. Mansouri controlling the position easily from mount. Mansouri landing strikes from the mount. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Mansouri takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
And that's the end of the fight! Ershad Mansouri comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Mansouri has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
