Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Pay Day (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Niilo Tykyraato (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tykyraato decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Day is pressing down on Tykyraato's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Tykyraato postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Day is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Tykyraato, into his guard.

Tykyraato is looking for a triangle but Day pushes his legs off easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tykyraato looking for a sweep. Not yet Tykyraato, not yet.
Day trying to control but Tykyraato is working from the bottom.

Tykyraato looking for a guillotine here but Day defends easily.

Tykyraato working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Day doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Day manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Day wants to control from the top but Tykyraato keeps moving.

Tykyraato has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Day can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Tykyraato had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Day is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Tykyraato Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Day's back instead.
Day is trying to get back to his feet but Tykyraato has full control of the position and if anything, Day has just worked his way into a worse spot.

Tykyraato is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Day has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
Day manages to reverse the position and now he's in Tykyraato's guard. Nice work there by Day.
Tykyraato wants to sweep but no luck.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Tykyraato lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Day!

Tykyraato swings around for an armbar but Day sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Tykyraato's guard.

Day wants to stand but Tykyraato is controlling his arm.

Tykyraato is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Day doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Tykyraato.
