Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Simon Belmont (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Panu Potko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Simon Belmont! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Panu Potko! The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Potko shoots in for a double leg but Belmont sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Potko shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Potko circles away from the clinch attempt.
Potko fails with a takedown attempt. Simon Belmont has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Panu Potko. The fight moves into the clinch position. Potko digs a right hand underneath Belmont's ribcage. Belmont let out a lung full of air as it connected. Good body shot from Potko.

Belmont blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

It looks like Panu Potko has been cut. Belmont prevents a takedown attempt there.

Potko has Belmont pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Belmont manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Potko tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Potko tries to score a body lock takedown but Belmont shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Belmont has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Potko is proving hard to escape from. Belmont is breathing heavily. Potko throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

That's one minute gone in the round. Belmont wants to get up but he can't break Potko's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Potko has his foot on Belmont's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Belmont works his way back into a safe position though. Potko is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Potko trying to mount his opponent but Belmont defends it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Belmont is not content to let Potko control the position. Belmont kicks Potko off and gets back to his feet. Potko shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Belmont as he avoids it easily. Belmont tries to clinch and Potko counters by clinching up. Belmont looking to throw knees to the head but Potko is blocking nicely.

Belmont misses with a knee to the head. Potko takes an elbow to the forehead. Belmont lands an elbow inside that Potko shrugs off. Belmont using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Potko has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Potko has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Belmont is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Potko can't find room to land a body shot as Belmont controls the action.

Belmont pushes off an throws an elbow but Potko leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. A nice glancing elbow lands by Belmont. Belmont looking to throw knees to the head but Potko is blocking nicely.
Potko decides to pull guard. Belmont won't allow Potko to sweep him here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Potko has his foot on Belmont's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Belmont works his way back into a safe position though. Potko throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Potko is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Potko looking for a guillotine here but Belmont defends easily.
Potko has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Belmont can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Panu Potko will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Panu Potko's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Belmont closes the distance looking to clinch and Potko counters with a takedown into side control. Potko tries to advance to mount but can't. Potko tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Potko has hold of Belmont's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Belmont seems comfortable defending it but Potko has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Belmont is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Belmont is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Potko couldn't care less - he's delighted!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:37 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Panu Potko!
