Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Class Rob (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lincoln Thomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rob's entrance music is Thriller . A fine choice. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Lincoln Thomas was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Class Rob! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lincoln Thomas! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Tiny Johnson and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Thomas tries to clinch there but Rob circles away.
Rob closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Rob lands in his opponent's guard. Rob tries to stand but Thomas is controlling from the bottom. Thomas escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Rob gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Rob is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Rob stopping the sweep attempt from Thomas. Rob trying to control but Thomas is working from the bottom. Thomas trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rob slips nicely into half guard. Rob thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Thomas's head. Thomas looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Rob is tying to control. Thomas wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Rob is working for a kimura but Thomas is defending it quite comfortably.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Thomas is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Rob's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Rob's back! Rob tries to roll but Thomas sticks to his back.
Rob looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Rob tries to escape but Thomas has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Rob avoids the strikes from Thomas. Rob is keeping busy.
Rob trying to control the position but Thomas manages to sink in the hooks. Thomas has Rob flattened out and is raining down punches. Thomas gets his hands free as Rob looks to control. Rob holding both Thomas 's hands and preventing any damage. Rob is breathing heavily. You can see the frustration on Rob's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Rob is in a bad position with Thomas working for a choke. Rob manages to spin nicely into guard and the danger is over for the moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rob stopping the sweep attempt from Thomas. Rob advances to half guard. Thomas is pressing down on Rob's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Thomas wants to sweep here but Rob controlling him for the moment. Thomas wants to stand and escape but Rob is having none of it. Rob stands and steps away. Thomas gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Thomas gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Rob holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Thomas turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Thomas lands a few punches from side control. Rob is looking to reverse the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Thomas is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Rob has escaped the position, nice work there. Rob is trying to get back to his feet. Thomas throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Rob works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure. Rob trying to control from the bottom.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Lincoln Thomas will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Thomas misses with a takedown attempt - Rob sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Rob gets a takedown into half guard. Rob with the ground and pound but Thomas uses the opportunity to regain guard. Rob landing with the ground and pound. Thomas looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Rob lands a couple of elbows. Rob looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Thomas is trying to hold Rob in close to prevent damage but Rob has managed to pass into half guard.
Thomas is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rob slows the pace down in half guard. Rob is looking for a kimura here.

Thomas has a hand on Rob's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Rob takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Thomas is squirming around, avoiding Rob's attempts to control the action. Rob landing shots from mount. Thomas is trying desperately to improve position. Rob lands a big elbow. Rob is in the full mount, landing strikes. Rob trying to control but he's not successful this time. Rob has control of Thomas's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Thomas regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Rob can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Thomas is looking to escape.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Thomas is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Rob looking to control but Thomas is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Thomas tries to reverse the position but Rob maintains control. Thomas is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Thomas wants to hold on but Rob pushes him away. Thomas's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Thomas is wriggling around trying to escape.
Rob throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Thomas because Rob loaded up on that one. Thomas regains half guard. Rob throws a strike but Thomas avoids it easily and moves to full guard. Thomas keeping moving, preventing Rob from controlling successfully. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Rob stands up and waves to Thomas to follow him. Rob looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Class Rob dominated that second round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. And we move into the final round!
Thomas throws and low kick but Rob moves out of range easily. Thomas with a poor takedown and Rob counters with a nice double leg into side control. Thomas won't be happy with that. Rob is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Thomas has escaped the position, nice work there. Rob trying to control the position but Thomas is working away. Rob wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Thomas, who protects the arm well. Rob stands up. Lincoln Thomas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rob pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Thomas wants to clinch but Rob slips to the side and Rob counters with a nice double leg into guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rob trying to control the position from guard on top but Thomas is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Rob throws a big right hand that misses. Rob postures up.

Rob slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Rob slips nicely into half guard, despite the strikes coming from Thomas. Thomas actively working from the bottom here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Thomas is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Thomas is on the bottom, trying to hold on to half guard. He's throwing a few small shots here, to keep his opponent honest. Thomas wants to get back to his feet. Rob trying to control the action but Thomas is working from the bottom. Thomas is trying to control but can't.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Thomas closes the distance and clinches. Thomas gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Rob regains guard.
Thomas advances position into side control! Thomas wants to control but Rob is keeping him busy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Thomas misses with the ground and pound. Rob is trying to buck Thomas off. Rob prevents Thomas from improving position. Thomas landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Rob tries to bench press Thomas off him but Thomas keeps the position. Rob explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there! Thomas misses with a takedown and Rob counters with a nice double leg into guard. Rob throws a big right hand that misses. Thomas being controlled here, momentarily. Rob distracts Thomas with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rob drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Rob seems to have locked his on tight now - Thomas screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Rob, as he picks up the win!
