Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Davide Frans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dwight Howard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Frans comes to the cage accompanied by I dont wanna wait. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Viktor Lagutenko and Aleksei Zolotukhin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Howard throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Howard closes the distance and clinches up with Frans, looking for a takedown. Howard pushes Frans against the cage but Frans circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Howard tries to score a power double leg takedown but Frans sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Howard somewhat.

Davide Frans has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dwight Howard .

and Frans counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Frans jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Howard walks away with a smile on his face. Frans gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Frans throws a nice looking combination but Howard bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Howard shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Frans pinned against the cage. Frans gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Howard tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Frans paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Frans throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Howard 's waist but Howard gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Frans off to one side.
Howard steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Frans. That one must have hurt.
Howard throws a series of punches but Frans moves out of range.
The fight stays on the outside here - Frans looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Frans.
Dwight Howard seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Howard gets a takedown into half guard.
Frans is trying to stand up here but Howard is controlling him well.

Howard seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Howard working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Frans doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Howard is tightening it up a little... Frans has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Frans reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Frans taps out! nice BJJ there by Howard !
