Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ryo Kenzhen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bill Wyman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kenzhen throws a sloppy head kick and Wyman moves out of range easily. Kenzhen misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Wyman fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Kenzhen to the ground. Wyman is now in Kenzhen's guard. Kenzhen is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Wyman is looking to work some ground and pound but Kenzhen has wrist control. Kenzhen working a defensive guard here.

Wyman is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Kenzhen to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Kenzhen shrugs it off. Wyman goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Kenzhen turns into him and now he's in Wyman's guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Kenzhen thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Wyman working to try and regain half guard.

Bill Wyman dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Kenzhen scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Donk. Wyman catches Kenzhen right on the button with a cross. Kenzhen throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. Wyman feints and as Kenzhen raises his hands in defense, Wyman changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Wyman stands up from Kenzhen's guard - Wyman perhaps looking for a knockout. Wyman closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. This has been an exciting period of action! Wyman tries for a kimura but Kenzhen is defending well. Kenzhen parries the strikes from Wyman easily there. Wyman is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Kenzhen to escape.
Wyman throws a strike aimed at the side of Kenzhen's head but Kenzhen avoids it well. Kenzhen sneaks back into half guard. Kenzhen regains full guard. Nicely done. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Kenzhen keeping moving, preventing Wyman from controlling successfully. Wyman sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Kenzhen wants to take a breather but Wyman is having none of it. Wyman moves into full guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Wyman working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kenzhen doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kenzhen manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Wyman is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Kenzhen defends well.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Ryo Kenzhen just wasn't active enough. A left and a right from Wyman both land. Nice combination. Kenzhen swings and misses with a hook to the body.
