PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jo Ling (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jarred Rose (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ling comes to the cage accompanied by Bulls on Parade. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rose throws a head kick that misses.

Ling closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Rose tries to get to full guard but Ling has control of the leg.
Rose keeping control of the position.
Rose pushes Ling off looking to stand but Ling dives back in and keeps control.

Rose has one foot on Ling's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Rose bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Ling's head backwards.

It looks like Jarred Rose has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Rose shoots in for a takedown but Ling shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Rose takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

Ling decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Ling wants to lay and pray for a moment but Rose keeps working.

Rose makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Rose shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Ling's guard.

Rose drops back looking for a leg! Ling is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Ling manages to kick Rose off! Rose jumps back into Ling's guard.

Rose wants to pass the guard but Ling is keeping the position.

Ling manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Rose manages to get himself to full guard.

Rose gets caught napping as Ling dives in and scores a takedown. Rose manages to retain guard.
Rose bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Ling's guard.
Rose wants to control from the top but Ling keeps moving.
Ling knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rose on the ground.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Jarred Rose wasn't active enough on the ground.
Ling fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Rose is out of range.
Rose takes one on the button.
Rose gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Ling.
Rose is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Ling takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Rose swings for the body but Ling moves out of range.
Rose throws a hook to the side of Ling's head but Ling sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Ling looks to land a combination but Rose avoids it well.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Rose decides to stand back up.

Rose tries to clinch but Ling is having none of it.
Jo Ling seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ling lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Rose circles away quickly and effectively.
Rose tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Jo Ling is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Rose takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Rose throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Ling scores with a shot to the body.

Ling closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Rose is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.

Ling breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Rose shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Ling as he jumps to the side.
Ling stuffs the takedown attempt from Rose. Rose gets slowly back to his feet.

Ling fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Rose to the ground. Ling is now in Rose's guard.
