Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dan OBrien (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Nick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). OBrien kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Take It Off. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
OBrien fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
OBrien misses with a series of wild punches.
OBrien moves out of range as Nick strikes.

John Nick seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nick tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and OBrien is able to avoid easily.

OBrien shoots in but Nick avoids the takedown attempt easily.

OBrien wants to get back to striking at distance but Nick won't allow it.

OBrien shoots for a takedown but Nick saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Nick has clasped his hands together around OBrien's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
OBrien wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Nick decides to stand up, so the ref orders OBrien to his feet.
OBrien moves into range and connects with a jab.
Nick clinches with his opponent.
Nick lands with a light punch inside.

Nice body punch from Nick - that landed with a thud.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Nick throws an elbow but it misses.
Nick tries to break free but OBrien pushes him back against the cage.

Nick lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

A frustrated look appears on Nick's face as he tries to break the clinch.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Nick creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Nick breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Nick swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and OBrien counters with a big head kick but Nick shrugs it off.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
OBrien connects with a looping right hand.
Nick misses with a two punch combination.
Nick throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and OBrien counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Nick is lucky that one didn't land flush.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but John Nick will probably get the nod.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
No luck with that takedown attempt from OBrien.
That has opened up John Nick's cut even more.
Nick cracks a nice hook into OBrien's ribs.
Nick drives through and clinches with OBrien against the cage.
Nick lands a shoulder strike.
Nick lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of OBrien backwards.

A nice left hand lands by Nick.
Nick is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
Nick gets control of OBrien's arms and successfully pulls guard. Nick will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Nick has his feet on OBrien's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Nick throws a big uppercut that drops OBrien! More strikes from Nick and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! OBrien lies dazed against the cage as Nick celebrates with his cornermen!
