Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lex Andrew (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and The Sixth Man (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Lex Andrew!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, The Sixth Man!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Skip Squint and Steve Erwin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Andrew shoots in for a double leg but Sixth Man sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Andrew rushes Sixth Man and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Sixth Man is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Sixth Man wants to stall.
Andrew really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Andrew has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Sixth Man avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Sixth Man tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

Andrew's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Sixth Man closes the distance and clinches up with Andrew, looking for a takedown. Sixth Man pushes Andrew against the cage but Andrew circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Sixth Man wants to slow Andrew down by chopping away at his legs.
Sixth Man tries to close the distance and clinch but Andrew swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Andrew closes the distance and pushes Sixth Man back into the cage.
Sixth Man tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Sixth Man tries to throw a body punch but Andrew avoids it by throwing Sixth Man back against the cage.
Sixth Man tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Andrew blocks a body shot from Sixth Man.
Sixth Man tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Sixth Man tries to work over Andrew's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Andrew is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Sixth Man pulls him back up using the underhooks.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lex Andrew. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Andrew stalls.

Andrew decides to pull guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Andrew striking off his back but it's not causing Sixth Man any problems.
Sixth Man trying to control the position from guard on top but Andrew is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Andrew tries to strike from the bottom.
Andrew is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Sixth Man pushing down on Andrew's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Sixth Man is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Sixth Man wants to control the pace but Andrew is squirming around nicely.

Andrew taking shots to the head.
Andrew is breathing heavily.
Andrew is desperately trying to improve his position but Sixth Man has a good base and remains in mount.

Sixth Man controlling the pace for now.
Sixth Man landing punches.
Sixth Man wants to control the pace but Andrew is squirming around nicely.
Sixth Man lands with some strikes.
Andrew is wriggling around trying to escape.
Sixth Man looking to control but Andrew is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Sixth Man takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Andrew is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Sixth Man wants to control the pace but Andrew is squirming around nicely.

Sixth Man goes for an armbar but Andrew turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Andrew.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The Sixth Man dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Sixth Man changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Andrew tries to avoid it but Sixth Man manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Andrew to the ground. Andrew escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Andrew moves into the clinch.

Sixth Man pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Sixth Man tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Andrew manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Andrew closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Sixth Man can't find room to land a body shot as Andrew controls the action.

Andrew throws a head punch that misses.
Andrew blocks a body shot from Sixth Man.
Sixth Man has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Andrew is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Sixth Man tries to work over Andrew's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Andrew ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Andrew no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Andrew is looking to stand up but Sixth Man isn't so interested in that idea.

Sixth Man would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Sixth Man wants to control from the top but Andrew keeps moving.
Sixth Man working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Andrew's head.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Sixth Man is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. The Sixth Man wasn't active enough on the ground.
Sixth Man doesn't manage to clinch there - Andrew circles away.
Andrew swats away the attempt to clinch by Sixth Man.
Sixth Man throws a one two combo.


Andrew is rocked!


It looks like Lex Andrew has been cut.

Sixth Man shoots in for a takedown. He's got it... He's hoisted his opponent over his head and is carrying him over to the other end of the mat. The crowd roars in approval and Sixth Man slams his opponent to the mat. OH, that is naaaaaasty! He's out! Sixth Man lands a punch to his unconscious victim for good measure before the ref has time to call the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:51 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Slam). The Sixth Man!
