Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mike Hunt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Keith Keystone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Keith Keystone will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mike Hunt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Keith Keystone!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, John Mangel and Donatello Bradman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Keystone shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Some bone on bone action there as Hunt checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Hunt gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Keystone.
Keystone throws a series of punches but Hunt avoids them all with ease.
Hunt throws a right and a left that both miss.
Keystone misses with a low kick.
Keystone misses with a body shot.
Hunt throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Hunt fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Keystone fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Hunt to the ground. Keystone is now in Hunt's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hunt is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Keystone stopping the sweep attempt from Hunt.
Hunt is trying to keep Keystone in close.
Keystone stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hunt swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Hunt working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Keystone doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Keystone manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Hunt tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Keystone wants to control from the top but Hunt keeps moving.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Hunt steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Keystone.
Hunt displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Keystone.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Keystone swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
enabling Hunt to counter with a crisp jab.
Hunt looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Keystone is fending him off so far but Hunt persists. Nope, Keystone circles away and we're back to standing.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Keystone is on top in guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Keystone accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Hunt manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Keystone manages to get himself to full guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Mike Hunt will probably get the nod.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Keith Keystone seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Hunt counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Hunt closes the distance and clinches up with Keystone, looking for a takedown. Hunt pushes Keystone against the cage but Keystone circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

and Hunt counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Keith Keystone showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. And we move into the final round!


Keystone swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Keystone fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Hunt is out of range.
Keith Keystone is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Hunt takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Hunt uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Keystone.
Hunt's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Keystone connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Hunt scrambles back to his feet.

Hunt drops his hands momentarily and Keystone takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Keystone takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Hunt working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Keystone tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Hunt wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Hunt is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Keystone is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Hunt tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

Keystone manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Keystone throws a strike but Hunt avoids it easily and moves to full guard.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Mike Hunt.
I think Hunt has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
