Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between David Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aleksandr Molotov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johnson kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genuis that is Dig by Incubus. David Johnson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, David Johnson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Aleksandr Molotov! The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Konstantin Menshow and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Molotov keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Johnson lands a nice hook to Molotov's body. Molotov takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Johnson wants to clinch. Johnson scores a takedown into full mount! Molotov is working to get back to half guard.
Molotov is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Molotov tries to lock up and control but Johnson gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Johnson breaks from Molotov's wrist control and lands an elbow. Molotov holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Johnson tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Johnson cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
That's one minute gone in the round. Molotov is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Molotov wants to hold on but Johnson pushes him away. Johnson lands a heavy elbow. Johnson thowing shots but they're missing. Molotov tries to lock up and control but Johnson gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Johnson lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
The referee warns Molotov that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Molotov flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Johnson trying to control but Molotov is having none of it. Johnson scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Molotov is bucking up trying to escape but Johnson cracks him with another couple of good strikes. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Johnson lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Molotov wants to hold on but Johnson pushes him away. Molotov tries to reverse the position but Johnson maintains control. Johnson unloading with bombs!

Johnson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Johnson is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Molotov can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

David Johnson dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Molotov stuffs the takedown. Molotov misses with a few strikes there.
Molotov throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
A good leg kick by Johnson. Johnson circles away from the clinch attempt and Johnson decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Molotov's guard. Johnson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Molotov swivels though and keeps the full guard. Johnson wants to stand and escape but instead Molotov has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Johnson pushes Molotov off and scrambles back to his feet.
Johnson shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Johnson showed some decent athleticism there. Johnson is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Molotov is breathing heavily. Molotov takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Johnson won't let Molotov get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. Molotov is looking to get to half guard. Johnson misses with a head shot. Johnson lands a nice shot to the head. Molotov is trying desperately to improve position.

Johnson is landing with some decent strikes but Molotov is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Johnson swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Molotov is now in Johnson's guard. A big mistake from Johnson there, giving up the dominant position! David Johnson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Johnson is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Molotov is standing up over Johnson. Johnson looks to escape but Molotov dives into side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
David Johnson dominated that second round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Molotov tries to clinch but Johnson moves away so Johnson counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Johnson stops Molotov from standing up. Johnson wanted to stand there but Molotov had control of the position. Molotov has his feet on Johnson's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. A left and a right from Molotov both land. Nice combination. Johnson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Molotov swats away the attempt to clinch by Johnson. Johnson clinches with his opponent.
Molotov wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Johnson has him pressed against the cage. Johnson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Molotov fails with an attempt to clinch.
Johnson misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Johnson takes the fight into the clinch. Molotov has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Johnson clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Johnson trying to get back to his feet but Molotov is in full control for now. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Johnson trying to control the position but Molotov manages to sink in the hooks. Johnson is really stuck here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Molotov connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Johnson to escape the position.
Molotov doesn't have the hooks in and Johnson manages to turn into his guard.
Johnson stands and steps away. Molotov gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Johnson tries a head kick but it misses.
Johnson walks straight into a right hand from Molotov - that's dropped him! Molotov jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Johnson from any more punishment! Johnson complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:44 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Aleksandr Molotov!
