The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bloggs misses with a few strikes there.

Malelei closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Bloggs to the mat! Bloggs manages to get full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bloggs is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Bloggs wants to lay and pray for a moment but Malelei keeps working.
Malelei is trying to maintain the position but Bloggs is very close to passing his half guard.

Malelei holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
Malelei has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Bloggs is working away from the top position though.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Abekula Malelei was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Bloggs moves into the clinch.
Bloggs tries to break the clinch but Malelei is controlling the position.
Malelei has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Bloggs is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Malelei wants a takedown but no success here.
Malelei is working for takedown but Bloggs is calmly controlling the position for now.
Joe Bloggs has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Abekula Malelei.

Bloggs shoots for a takedown but Malelei saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Malelei walks into a stiff left hand from Bloggs.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Bloggs throws a combination. Malelei tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Bloggs shoots in but no luck this time.
Bloggs lands with a straight right. Malelei didn't see that one coming.
Malelei misses with a hook
and Bloggs counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Malelei throws a series of punches but Bloggs avoids them all with ease.
Malelei takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

Malelei is rocked!
Bloggs steps in with a hook that catches Malelei right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Bloggs follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Malelei looks absolutely devastated.
