Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kato Hong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zoro Moro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hong comes to the cage accompanied by Nunchucks. The key to victory for Kato Hong has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kato Hong! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Zoro Moro! The judges for this bout are , and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hong shoots in and drives through. Moro sprawls well. Hong moves in looking to clinch but Moro pushes him off. Hong tries to clinch up but Moro circles away and keeps his distance. Moro tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Hong swivels and escapes. Moro swats away the attempt to clinch by Hong. Hong takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Hong gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Moro is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Hong is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Moro is controlling him. Hong working a defensive guard here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hong wants to sweep here but Moro controlling him for the moment. Hong is trying to control the position from the bottom.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Kato Hong just wasn't active enough. Hong ducks under a wild hook from Moro. Moro shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Moro showed some decent athleticism there. Moro should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Hong wants to get back to full guard but Moro has passed into side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Hong's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Hong tries to get back to half guard but can't. A lull in the action here. Moro stands up and we're back to a striking position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Moro throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hong. Moro drives through with a takedown into Hong's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Moro trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Moro advances position into side control! Moro wants to control but Hong is keeping him busy. The ground and pound from Moro seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Moro wants to control but Hong is keeping him busy. That's four minutes gone in the round. Hong tries to bench press Moro off him but Moro keeps the position. Moro goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Hong rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Moro's guard! Nice work there by Hong! Moro pushes Hong off and gets back to his feet.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Hong shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Moro napping and manages to drive through into side control! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Hong moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Hong decides to stand back up. Hong steps back and let's Moro get back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Zoro Moro dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Moro rushes Hong and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Moro has hold of one of Hong's legs. Hong is fighting the takedown attempt but Moro gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Moro looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Moro stands up and waves to Hong to follow him. Moro misses with a body punch
and Hong counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Moro! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Hong tries to control but Moro wriggling away. Hong prevents Moro from getting the reversal. Hong is standing up, even though he is in mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. A head kick misses from Hong. Moro moves into the clinch. Moro breaks from the clinch.
Hong tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Moro manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Moro clinches. Hong has Moro pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Moro manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Moro gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Moro controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Hong is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Moro showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Moro's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Moro stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hong swivels though and keeps the full guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Zoro Moro wasn't active enough on the ground. Hong misses with a double jab.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Moro scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Moro just content to control the position. Hong wants to control but Moro postures up. Zoro Moro has got the better of the ground game so far. Moro wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hong keeps working. Moro scoring with punches and elbows. Moro stands up and we're back to a striking position. Moro's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Hong connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Moro scrambles back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Moro fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Hong, pushing him back against the cage. Hong tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Moro smiles and moves away.
Moro misses with a series of wild punches.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Hong tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Moro manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Hong tries to close the distance and clinch up but Moro swats him away and circles back towards the center. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Hong is defended easily by Moro. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kato Hong. That's going to take a lot out of him. Moro's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Moro duly obliges. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Zoro Moro showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Hong tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Moro paws at him with a jab and circles away. Hong tries to clinch but Moro moves away and Moro holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Moro decides to pull guard. Moro working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Hong doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Hong manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Hong wanted to stand there but Moro had control of the position. Moro controls Hong momentarily but Hong frees himself. Moro had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Hong defends it easily. Moro looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Moro takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hong lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Hong stands up from Moro's guard - Hong perhaps looking for a knockout. Hong shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Moro sprawls well. Moro wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Hong gets slowly back to his feet. Nice takedown defense from Moro. No joy for Hong on that attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hong tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Moro swivels and escapes. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kato Hong. That's going to take a lot out of him. Moro instigates a clinch. Moro blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Moro breaks the clinch.
Hong keeps the fight on the outside. Moro throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Moro shoots in for a takedown and gets it. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Hong makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Hong. Moro trying to control the position from guard on top but Hong is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Moro advances position into side control! Moro grinds an elbow into Hong's temple. Hong wants to control but Moro postures up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hong takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Moro decides to take the fight back to the feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Moro has Hong up against the cage in a clinch.
Hong misses with a knee strike.
Moro breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Moro slaps away a takedown attempt from Hong, before circling back to the center of the mat. Moro stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Moro wants it to stay on the feet. Moro looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Hong is fending him off so far but Moro persists. Nope, Hong circles away and we're back to standing. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Moro shoots in and bounces Hong off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. This has been an exciting period of action! Moro controls the pace of the fight for a moment. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hong misses with a takedown attempt - Moro sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Moro shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Hong as he jumps to the side. Moro clinches with his opponent.

Kato Hong has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Moro rushes Hong and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Moro breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Hong fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Moro avoids it really well and circles away. It's got to the stage where if one of these guys blows hard enough, the other might fall over. Moro misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Moro throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hong's waist but Hong gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Moro off to one side. Kato Hong has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Zoro Moro. Hong fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Moro is defended easily by Hong. Hong fails in his attempt to clinch. Hong shoots in looking for a takedown. Moro tries to sprawl out of it but Hong keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Moro manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Hong fails with an attempt to clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Moro fails with a takedown attempt. Hong lands a two punch combo.
Hong misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Moro stuffs the takedown. Zoro Moro seems to be getting the better of the standup. Moro darts in and clinches Hong up against the cage. Moro has Hong pressed against the cage.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Moro has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Hong regains guard immediately. Moro postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Moro makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Moro stays in close to Hong's body and controls the position. Moro gets to his feet - Hong follows without any prompting. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Hong fails in his attempt to clinch. Hong tries to score a power double leg takedown but Moro sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Hong somewhat. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Zoro Moro dominated that fourth round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
Moro moves into the clinch. Moro using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Hong has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Moro has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Hong uses from the top position. Moro keeping moving, preventing Hong from controlling successfully. Both of our modern day gladiators look out of it here - an gruelling 5 rounds of action taking it's toll on them, no doubt. Moro uses the cage to get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hong misses with a takedown attempt - Moro sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Hong is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Moro's half guard. Moro is not content to let Hong control the position. Moro tries to get to full guard but Hong has control of the leg. Moro is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Hong pulls his head out easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Moro works his way to full guard. Good work. Hong looking to sit in guard and control but Moro gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Moro postures up.
Hong kicks Moro off and gets to his feet. Moro closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Hong's guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Moro postures up.
Hong is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Moro defends well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Moro lands a couple of decent looking shots. Moro is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Hong is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Hong is looking for a triangle here but Moro uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Hong is being controlled here. Moro is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Hong knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Moro is staying tight to Hong's torso, preventing him from escaping. Kato Hong has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Zoro Moro is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Hong throwing some weak shots from the bottom that do no damage.
And that's the end of the fight! Zoro Moro comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Moro has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
