Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Aras Szlesz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gabriel Fenili (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gabriel Fenili has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Aras Szlesz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Gabriel Fenili! The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Albert Achterberg and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Szlesz misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Some wild striking there from Szlesz.
Szlesz looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Fenili! It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Szlesz avoids the attempt from Fenili to control. Fenili is trying desperately to improve position. Szlesz fails to take his opponent's back. Szlesz gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks! Szlesz ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Fenili moves away. Szlesz drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Fenili bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Szlesz's guard. Szlesz can't keep his opponent in guard - Fenili advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Fenili wants to take a breather but Szlesz is having none of it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fenili not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Fenili wants to free his trapped foot but Szlesz is holding on for dear life with his legs. Fenili prevents Szlesz from improving his position. Szlesz is refusing to be controlled, as Fenili sits in half guard. Fenili thows a huge punch but Szlesz dodges it nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fenili is trying to control the action in half guard but Szlesz is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Fenili has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Fenili fails to move to back control. Fenili is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Szlesz can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Fenili swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Szlesz is now in Fenili's guard. A big mistake from Fenili there, giving up the dominant position! Fenili has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Szlesz gets to his feet - Fenili follows without any prompting. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Fenili. This has been an exciting period of action! Szlesz throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Fenili counters with a left to the body.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Szlesz gets the takedown into side control. Szlesz is breathing heavily. Fenili manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Fenili throws a strike but Szlesz avoids it easily and moves to full guard. Fenili wants to control from the top but Szlesz keeps moving. Fenili stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Szlesz swivels though and keeps the full guard. Szlesz is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Fenili tries to free his leg and advance position but Szlesz is retaining full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Szlesz wants to get back to his feet but Fenili is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Fenili keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Fenili fails with a takedown attempt. Fenili shoots in and drives through. Szlesz sprawls well. Aras Szlesz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gabriel Fenili. Szlesz stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Szlesz wants it to stay on the feet. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Fenili fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. A combination from Szlesz does no damage. Szlesz throws a nice looking combination but Fenili bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. An inside leg kick lands from Szlesz. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Aras Szlesz will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Szlesz throws a head kick but Fenili moves out of range.
Fenili shoots for a double leg takedown but Szlesz sprawls well. He's pushed Fenili's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Szlesz shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Fenili is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Szlesz's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Szlesz's back! Well, with Fenili on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Szlesz is tapping out... Can he escape the position? Fenili is not going to allow Szlesz to sit and survive in this position. Szlesz defending nicely against the rear naked choke attempt.
Szlesz breaks Fenili's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Fenili is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Szlesz has his hands clasped together but Fenili extends an breaks Szlesz's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Fenili.
