Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Doctor Turk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charlie Griffin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Griffin comes into a darkened arena with his song building. A Song kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Doctor Turk has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Griffin misses with a takedown attempt - Turk sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Griffin ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Griffin shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Griffin showed some decent athleticism there.
Griffin is thwarting Turk's attempts to control the position.

Turk is trying to stand back up but Griffin is controlling him

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Turk jumps into guard, dragging Griffin to the mat.

Turk pushes Griffin off looking to stand but Griffin dives back in and keeps control.
Turk is breathing heavily.

Griffin is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Turk lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Turk avoids a punch combination nicely.
Turk has his takedown stuffed
and Griffin connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Griffin drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Turk has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Griffin off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Griffin gets the takedown into side control.
Turk tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Griffin easily slips into full mount!
Turk is trying desperately to improve position.
Turk could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Griffin is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Turk can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Griffin has control of Turk's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Turk regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Griffin gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

Griffin is looking to clinch but Turk is avoiding it.
Turk shoots and misses

and Griffin counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Turk wants to control but Griffin is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Turk slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Turk tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Turk is working hard here to advance position.

Griffin drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Griffin jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Turk lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Griffin!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Turk stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.

Griffin shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Turk's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Griffin fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Turk sprawls well initially but Griffin persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Griffin is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Turk doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Griffin.
Oh Turk is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Well, if Griffin is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Griffin really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Turk. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Turk trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!
Turk seems to have got his legs back now.
Turk can't escape the position.
Turk sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Griffin thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Turk's head.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Griffin is pressed up against the cage. Turk has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Griffin down to the mat. Griffin avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Turk is looking to clinch but Griffin is avoiding it.
Turk keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Griffin drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Griffin is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Turk will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Turk sneaks back into half guard.
Turk is not content to let Griffin control the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Charlie Griffin showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Griffin shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Turk as he jumps to the side.

Griffin is taking a breather. Turk says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Griffin is trying to control the action in half guard but Turk is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Turk misses with some strikes from the bottom.

Turk pushes Griffin off and gets back to his feet.

and Griffin counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Griffin.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Griffin loads up on a big left hand. Turk felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Griffin looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Turk can't hide his disappointment, as Griffin celebrates the victory.
