Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bible Basher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Franklin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Franklin has chosen Hotel Califonia as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Bible Basher! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jack Franklin! The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, William Gold and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Franklin feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Basher on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Basher tries to get out of the position. Franklin trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Basher has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Franklin can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Basher will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Basher is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Basher is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Basher is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Franklin trying to control the position from guard on top but Basher is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Basher working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Franklin doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Franklin manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Franklin trying to control the position from guard on top but Basher is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. Basher is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Basher working for a triangle but Franklin defends it easily.
Franklin must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Franklin thows a big elbow that misses. Basher has his hands on Franklin's head, controlling the position. Basher keeping moving, preventing Franklin from controlling successfully. Basher is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Basher is breathing heavily. Basher thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Franklin's head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Franklin is looking for a sweep. Basher is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Basher is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Franklin trying to control but Basher postures up.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Franklin wants to get back to full guard. Franklin is trying to stand back up but Basher is controlling him
Basher wants to free his trapped foot but Franklin is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Basher has a takedown stuffed. Nice sprawl there from Basher as Franklin shoots in. Franklin shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Basher counters with a takedown into side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Franklin is trying to get back to half guard. Basher is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Franklin can't do much from the bottom here. Basher looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Franklin is looking to reverse the position. Franklin wants to control but Basher postures up. Basher tries for a kimura but Franklin is defending well. Basher looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Basher really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Basher stands up and we're back to a striking position. Franklin with a lazy takedown attempt and Basher counters with a shoot takedown. Franklin fights it but they end up in guard. Bible Basher has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jack Franklin. Franklin working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Basher doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Basher manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Franklin is looking to sinch up a triangle. Basher throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Franklin's body to avoid the submission. Franklin has instead reached around Basher's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Franklin arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
