Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Ren Mimura and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Teider tries to score a power double leg takedown but Silva sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Teider somewhat.
Silva slips a jab and a cross from Teider.
Silva shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Teider eats them both and turns towards Silva to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Silva closes this distance looking for a takedown but Teider circles away.
Teider moves out of range of the leg kick from Silva.
Silva shoots and misses
and Teider counters with a big head kick but Silva shrugs it off.
Teider defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Silva.
Lucas Teider has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Thiago Silva.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Teider feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Teider is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Silva pushes a forearm under Teider's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Teider is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
