Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Max Lovell! The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Eliza Hachem and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lovell rushes Jones and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Lovell decides to pull guard. Lovell wants to stand and escape but Jones is having none of it. Jones with a flurry of punches that miss. Jones might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Lovell looking for a sweep. Not yet Lovell, not yet. Jones stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lovell swivels though and keeps the full guard. Jones works a leg free and moves into half guard. Lovell wants to get back to his feet.
Jones moves nicely into side control. Jones working the ground and pound but Lovell is defending the strikes. Jones in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. You can see the frustration on Lovell's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Jones tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Jones has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones trying to control the action but Lovell is working from the bottom. Lovell struggling a bit here. Jones slows the pace down. Lovell is trying to get back to half guard. Jones works to advance to full mount. Lovell defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Jones can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Lovell is looking to escape.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Lovell to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Lovell shrugs it off.
