Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jack Kim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Micheal Havel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Micheal Havel has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jack Kim!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 1, fighting out of New York, Micheal Havel!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, David Schapiro and Lou da Vinci.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kim circles away from the clinch attempt.
A punch lands to the side of Kim 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Havel throws out a loose jab but Kim uses good head movement to avoid it.

Havel has closed the distance and engaged Kim in a clinch.
Havel's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Havel pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Havel misses with a wild body shot.

Havel clinches with his opponent.

Havel breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Kim ducks under a wild hook from Havel.
Havel is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Havel throws a jab when Kim was well out of range.

Havel closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
A right hand to the body from Havel.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Havel.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Havel creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Havel lands a shot to the body.

Kim is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Havel gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Havel's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Kim looks to score with a jab to the body but Havel is just out of range.
Havel tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kim swats him away and circles back towards the center.
A looping hook to the body misses from Havel. Kim does a little dance to reset his feet.
Havel stuns Kim with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Kim shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Havel pinned against the cage. Havel gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Kim avoids the body shot from Havel.

Kim shoots in and drives through. Havel sprawls well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jack Kim. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Havel paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Kim is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Havel's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Kim isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Havel stacks Kim on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Havel!

Havel is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Kim has escaped the position, nice work there.
Kim tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Havel presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!

It looks like Havel might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Kim is wriggling around trying to escape.
Kim is working hard here to advance position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Kim is desperately trying to improve his position but Havel has a good base and remains in mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Havel throws out a loose jab but Kim uses good head movement to avoid it.

Havel is pressed up against the cage. Kim has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Havel down to the mat. Havel avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Havel is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.

Havel closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Kim to the mat! Kim manages to get full guard.
Havel is stalling in the full guard.

Let's hope that Havel has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Kim is trying to work for a sweep but Havel has mounted him!

Kim is in all sorts of trouble here.

Havel takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Havel's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Kim is trying desperately to improve position.
Havel tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Micheal Havel was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Kim shoots in looking for a takedown. Havel tries to sprawl out of it but Kim keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Havel manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Havel lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kim circles away quickly and effectively.

Havel clinches up with Kim and pushes him back against the cage.
Kim has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Havel avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Havel breaks the clinch.
Havel pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Kim back to the cage. Havel follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Micheal Havel showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Kim dives in and grabs Havel's left leg, looking for a takedown. Havel pushes down on Kim's head and hops out.

and Havel counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Havel scores with a punch to the head.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Kim is trying hard to land a takedown here. Havel sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Kim takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Havel is leaning against Kim and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.

Havel breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Havel has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Oh Kim is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Micheal Havel seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.
Havel lands a big knee to the head and Kim goes down! Havel pounces and finishes the fight with strikes! He jumps to his feet and celebrates with the crowd!
